I woke up around ten in the morning, and I felt someone laying next to me. I glanced over to see that it was Lexi, who was fast asleep and sucking her little thumb. I smiled at her adorableness, and stood up, getting ready to start the day. I walked to the living room/kitchen, and opened the curtains on the few windows we had.
Hopefully, the TV won't start making that static noise again, because I was hoping to get a little more me time.
I turned it on, and thankfully it was perfectly fine. I turned it to Nickelodeon to watch a little Spongebob. My favorite episode, "Bubble Buddies", was on, so I was very engaged in it.
"You like Spongebob, too?!" Someone squeaked behind me. I turned around to see a really familiar looking boy, who was definitely my age. He had big goggles that had orange lenses, and some type of muzzle on his face. He was wearing a hoodie that had stripes on the sleeves, some black pants, and from what I could see were a pair of Converse.
"What are you doing here?!" I shouted, grabbing my phone from the table.
"No need to be alarmed, Miss, I'm only here because my boss sent me," He lifted his goggles up, showing some of his really pale skin, and pushing back his wild, brunette hair."Would you like to know why I am here?"
"Not really...I'd rather you leave.." I quivered. I was trembling a little. He twitched, causing his head to snap to the side and make a loud crunch, which must of been his neck cracking.
How frightening...
"Look, I don't want you to give me hell," He seemed a lot more serious than when he was when he asked me about Spongebob. His voice was stern. "So let me just take you to him. He needs you and no matter what happened the boss was always good to--"
"Stop." I said.
He laughed a little."You really want to forget don't you?" The way he spoke was dry. He was almost angry for a moment. But that soon snapped back. He was quirky once again. "But anyway! I need to you come with me."
"No! I have work in 2 days! I'm not just going to skip out because your boss needs me!" I argued. The guy exhaled deeply, as if he was getting a little irritated.
He put his goggles back on and raised his hatchets,"Please. Do not make me do this the hard way. Come. With. Me."
"What are you going to do with those?!" I shouted. Then, I heard little footsteps come into the room.
"Mommy, who is him?" Lexi asked, rubbing her eyes.
"This is-"
"Toby. Ticci Toby." His head twitched to the side.
"Toby? Are you my mommy's prince?" Lexi questioned innocently.
"N-No, um, honey, we have to go with Mr. Toby, because mommy has some...er..things to take care of." I explained, walking over to where she was standing. She nodded and hugged my leg, smiling timidly at Toby. I smiled at her, picked her up, and put my shoes on.
"Thanks for your cooperation, Twitch."
"Just call me Brooke." I said, opening the door and leaving my apartment. We walked outides, to his car, and I put Lexi in the back. He sat in the driver's seat, and I satin the passenger's. Then, we left my comfy house, to a hellish, demonic, household.
God, tell me, why now?
