Chapter Eight ~ Years Later

(Time skip: 4 Years)

"Mom!" Lexi shouted.

"What?! I'm doing something!" I yelled. My boyfriend, Kyle, and I were sitting on the couch, cuddling. We met when I was nineteen, and we've been together for 3 years. I'm twenty-two, and he's twenty-six. I really love him, the only problem is he looks just like Toby..

Lexi is now eight years old, and is a smart cookie. Lexi may only be eight, but she is the most mature in her grade. Her hair is very long now, and her eyes have went a dark shade of blue.

Me on the other hand, haven't changed.

I also got a job, I work at a little diner that pays pretty well. Together, Kyle and I bought a big house, one with four rooms. Him and I share a room, Lexi has her own, and we use the third for an office. The fourth is going to be a nursery.

Yes, I'm pregnant with Kyle's child. Seven months to be exact.

"Mom, please just get your big-belly self in here!" Lexi said. I rolled my eyes and stood up, walking down the hall to Lexi's room. We decided not to have a house with an upstairs, due to the fact that I don't feel like climbing them all the time, and one of the kids could get hurt.

"What is it?" I said when I got to my daughter's room.

"I think I know who that guy is that I keep seeing in my dreams!" She exclaimed, leading me to her computer.

I have to lie to her, because she just can't know. Its okay for me to lie right? Parents lie to their kids about the Easter Bunny and Santa, so, it's all good, right?

"Oh yeah?" I said, staring at the pictures of her, Kyle, and I draped along her walls.

"Yeah! His name is Ticci Toby!"

My eyes widened."See, that internet is no good. Making up stories."

"No, I promise you, this is who I am seeing!" Lexi replied as she showed me another picture of him."I know its him. And I think I've seen him before, my memory is a lil hazy, though."

"You're crazy." I laughed and rolled my eyes."You need to give that computer a break,"

"But mom, I wanna figure out what these dreams mean!" She whined.

I sighed. If only she knew.

"Okay, well it's almost nine, you need to get your lil ass to bed," I said.

"But moooom! Ten more minutes?" Lexi pleaded. I shook my head.

"Nope. Get ready for bed. You have school tomorrow and I'm not fighting with you in the morning." I rubbed my stomach."And we gotta take you to the dentist afterwards."

"Ugh, I hate the dentist. They always try to put their fingers my mouth! It's dirty." Lexi told me as she put her blue PJ pants on.

"Oh hush." I chuckled.

"Ugh." She huffed. Then she put her white tank top on and turned her computer of. After that she got in bed and covered herself up. I kissed her forehead softly.

"I love you, honey."

"Love you too, mom!"

I turned her light off and said goodnight, then I left. Kyle was sitting on the couch waiting for me.

"Hey, babe." He said, smiling at me. I smiled back.

"Ello." I sat next to him and he held me close.

"I love you so much." Kyle whispered to me.

"I love you too." I giggled, blushing.
