I quickly left Slenderman's office and walked down the hall where I could hear my daughter and Toby talking.
"Yeah, Tommy says mommy used to do bad things before she had me.."
"She.. From what I've heard, she did." Toby said, sounding unusually serious. My eyes became golf balls and I leaned against the wall, so I could eavesdrop.
"What did she do, Mr. Toby?" Lexi questioned.
"Well, she.. made people go away. Like I do."
"How do you make them go away?"
"Uhm.. I..--"
I walked into the room before he could say anything further."Its time to go home, sweetie!"
"Okay, mommy!" Lexi smiled and stood up from the ground her and Toby were sitting on. I looked around the room. All that was there was an old table, along with a photo album. Everything was hugged by dust, and there were spiderwebs lurked in the corners of the ceiling.
I sighed and stared down at my daughter. She looked so innocent..
But who was this 'Tommy'?
"Okay, Toby. I think I can drive myself home." I mumbled.
"Um, it's kinda my car.." Toby said, laughing softly. His head twitched and made a loud crack.
"Oh. Right." I walked out into the hallway after picking my daughter up. Then I turned around to face him."Toby, please try avoiding calling me Tw--"
Toby's eyes widened behind his goggles."Twitch?"
"No! Never call me that!" I growled. "Brooke. Just Brooke,"
Toby sighed and nodded.
"Mommy, I'm hungry!" Lexi said to me.
"Okay, hun, we'll stop at McDonald's on the way home."
Toby led us outside to the car.
"You don't care if you make a stop at McDonald's, Toby?" I sighed, looking up at him. There was a little breeze in the air, blowing my chestnut brown hair to the side. Toby kept looking at me.
"Um, hello?" I asked softly, waving a hand in front of his blank face. He shook his head, causing his shaggy, brown hair to shake. His hair was a bit of a lighter brown than mine.
"Oh, right. Um, yeah we can go there, I'll take my goggles and muzzle off when we get there so we don't get into any trouble,"
I nodded and put my four year old into the backseat and buckled her in.
After doing that, I climbed in the front seat, next to Toby, who was already in the driver's seat waiting for me to get settled in. I quickly put my seat belt on.
"Ready, Twitch?"
"Don't call me that in front of her." I hissed."But yeah, let's go.."
He started the car and backed out of the driveway, driving through the woods and finally making it to the road.
"Hey, Brooke?" Toby asked as I looked back at my daughter.
"What?" I said when I had turned back around.
"Well, I was wondering, why have you decided to forget about your past?" Toby quizzed. He never took his eyes off the road as he spoke.
"Well, I'm not talking about that in front of my daughter."
"Just tell me. Why did you choose to forget about all of us? We were your friends!" Toby started to raise his voice. I turned to look at him, with a angered look on my face. He twitched.
