The days where we could be productive, but really there was never a chance; those days are nice.
The days where we have coffee and breakfast and then she ends up lying sprawled out on the carpet and I end up lying on top of her and we're both on our phones (I'm reading fanfic and she's scrolling through memes, occasionally showing each other the parts we like particularly well); those days are nice.
The days where we stroll into the diner a couple blocks away at nine A.M. in our pajamas and that's the only time we go outside the entire day; those days are nice.
The days where I stay up until five in the morning trying to word a sentence correctly and Annabelle's practically sleeping on top of me because she's got meetings in the morning; those days are nice. Tiring, but still nice.
Nice. Content. Peaceful. And yet, exhilarating.
