I see Michael coming back!” Screams Emmalynn from up the guard tower. “ But i don’t see Mr. Samson!”

“What!” York hollers when he comes out of the house. “Where is Mr. Samson! Do you see him now!”

“No I don’t, but here comes Michael at the gate!” Answers Emmalynn. Andrew and David open the gate for Michael. When Michael pulls into the camp, York asks him where Mr. Samson is.

“We got ambushed by thirty Ragers,” Explains Michael. “And Mr. Samson’s knee gave out when we were running to the vehicles, and they got to him.”

“If that is true, then how did you keep all the supplies?” Questions York.

“He told me to grab them and run.” Explains Michael. He then walks to the storage facility and dropped off the supplies. “I’m going back up to my guard tow…”

“RAGERS INCOMING!!” Alarms Emmalynn.

“Everyone pack up in your vehicles’!” Orders York. When Emmalynn comes down the tower, he asks, “Emmalynn, how far out are they?”

“About five minutes at their pace.” answers Emmalynn.

“OK, thanks.” responds York. Emmalynn nods as she walks away to get packed. “Everyone! We got three minutes to pack up and leave!” York orders.

The next three minutes were complete chaos, everyone running around, throwing things in vehicles and yelling for people to hurry up. When it was time to go, everyone got in there vehicles and drove off. Over the Command Radio, York says “Everyone should head for Atlanta, because that is where he is going.”

The caravan made it to Washington D.C. without incident. When they got to D.C, though, they got a broadcast from someone named Red. She was saying that “She was at a military base, and that base is swarmed by Ragers.” So the group goes to the base, and they see that the Ragers are now zombies, and they like they have been for about two months.

“Everyone, ready your weapons.” Commands York. “On my call fire, got it. 3…2…1…FIRE!”

Ten guns fire at least five rounds each, and every zombie loses its legs. Then, each person gets out of their vehicles and shoot each zombie right underneath the skull, severing the spinal cord, rendering the zombies dead. When the zombies were destroyed, they went into the building. They went to the panic room and York finds a assault rifle pointed at his head by a woman with dyed red hair..

“Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Stammers York. “We’re here to save you. We heard your message.”

“You could of buzzed in,” retorts Red. “I thought you guys were looters, so I thought I should shoot the leader. You’re lucky I didn’t fire right away.”

“Yes, yes I am.” answers York. “My name is York and these are my friends and. Everyone say hello.”

“Hello!” Responds everyone.

“Howdy,” Says Red. “You guys want come in? Just pull your vehicles into the building here so those zombies can’t find us.”

“Alright everyone! You heard her! Pull around the building here as a barricade.” Orders York.

“Why would I take orders from you.” Mutters Michael as he goes to do what he was told.

After he sees that everyone is pulling up, he jogs up to where Red is. “So, Red, what are you doing in my military base?”

“I’m a army gunner in the regiment based here. Those zombies that were outside? Those were my team and the faculty of this here base.” Answers Red.

“How were they all zombies?” exclaims York.

“When one of the staff got infected, she began to turn people, and after a few hours, I was the last one not infected.” explains Red. “I hid out in this safe room, and when they all turned, they started searching for me I guess. When they found this room, they began their onslaught. It went on for hours. Eventually, they stopped, and one by one, I shot them all. It took me about five hours, and when they all went down, I had about ten minutes of peace. They began waking up. That was two weeks ago.”

“Jesus, that sounds horrible!” Exclaims York.

“I have heard worse from my friends back home in Minnesota.” says Red.

About ten minutes later, Andrew and David come running to York, yelling that, “Michael took off!”, over and over.

“What?!” York asks.

“Michael’s car is gone and he is nowhere to be found!” Yells Andrew. “David and I have been looking for the last ten minutes, since we noticed his car wasn’t with the group.”

York to himself: “Where did Michael go?”
