You know that moment when you get to the top of a rollercoaster? You can feel your pulse rising as the cart inches up slowly, and the intensity of everything plays a trick on you, because just when you start to look around and think everything is beautiful, and fine. You fall.
"Ethan.... I-", I start
"No it's okay. I understand.", Ethan said with a frown
"Ethan-", I start getting cut off again
"No, It's fine I get it you don't feel the same way.", He said
"Ethan, it's not that. I like you too.", I explain "it's just.."
"Just what?", He asked. His eyes open wide
"Hey you guys ready?", Grayson said walking up behind me
"Uhh-"
"Yeah we're good.", I say standing up and grabbing my things
"Cool.", Grayson said and we left.
CAR RIDE
Grayson P.O.V.
I HATE THIS. It's extremely quiet in the car no music is playing, Ethan is in the back of me his head looking out of the window, and same with Kiana on my right. The silence was tearing me apart. I knew exactly why no one was talking, I overheard Ethan when we were at the mall and my heart dropped.I couldn't let Kiana finish her sentence so I decided to come in at the right time. I honestly was a little jealous, but at the same time I didn't want to ruin Ethan being so happy. I mean every time he looked at her he lit up, but I also couldn't hold in my feelings either. We finally arrived back at our house as Ethan unbuckled his seatbelt, and soon so did Kiana.
"Hey can I uh talk to you for a bit?", I whispered towards Kiana
"Uh...", She looked back at Ethan, than to me "sure"
Ethan nodded and left the car and jogged into the house with Kiana's bags.
"So what's up.", She said
"I know that my brother told you that he liked you.", I said
She shifted her body towards the front of the car and sighed "oh so you heard that huh?"
"Yes, but I also know that you like him too. And...... well.", I paused "I love my brother and I would do anything for him, and I know this is stupid and I shouldn't even say this because he's my brother an-"
"Grayson just take a breath and tell me.", she interrupted
I did as she said and just like that. "I like you." I blurted
