"Then, maybe next time I will let our efforts go down the drain just like that!" I snap my fingers, bursting in the room in an angry fit and throwing my shoulder bag to the other side of the motel room.

"You should!" Nao comes in, as angry as I am. It's the first time I've seen him like this, eyes flared, huffing everywhere and taking an angry and irritated tone with me, unlike the usual monotonous one. "It's better than having a wolf touching your body like he owns it!"

We are having our first fight as a married couple and I'm about to blend his head if he doesn't chop mine off first.

"I was doing it for you!" Nao slams the door shut, turning to fix me with a massive glare. I don't retreat. "Chill, would you!" He takes large strides towards me and it takes most of what I have to not run away, but it's too late when he's in front of me and we're huffing at each other.

He grips my chin and looks me in the eye, chipping away at my determination bit by bit. I feel my eyebrows let up, but I hold them tight where they stand, bolting them in place.

Nao grits his teeth.

"Don't order me around." He grits out, jaws clenched. His voice is low and dark, intimidating me. I want to submit to this clear portrayal of dominance, look down and give in, but pride smacks me across the face and tells me to continue forth.

I slap his hand away, pushing my finger against his hard chest; I try to not flinch when I feel my finger bending a certain way. "You're not the fucking boss of me!"

For some reason he's angry that I let somebody touch me in a way I myself dislike because I was trying to help him. It's not like I was actually planning on going with them, but I may have forgotten that small detail when we were a lot calmer and we were both judging my prior actions.

"Don't curse!"

I turn away from him, my willpower spent from meeting him head on in a dispute. It had started the moment we were both on the cliff, instead of below it, and heightened in intensity every step we took, to the point we were screaming at each other at the reception.

I see my wet bag and turn towards it, planning to clean up the mess that the sea made of it. Nao takes my elbow and spins me around, holding me captive with his eyes. Bright hazel stares back into my dirt brown, forcing me into submission.

My will is wavering, my eyes blurring and trying to force me to look anywhere but into his eyes. I try my hardest, but I look at his ear for the briefest second, before returning to his eyes.

I notice a trail of something red trail across his temple. I look at it.

"You're bleeding!" He seems as shocked as I am, his hand pressing against the wound.

"I guess I am." He looks down at his hand, studying it.

I slap my hand across my face turning to my backpack but remembering that it's wet and useless. There must be a first-aid kit in here somewhere. I look around the place after seating Nao on a chair.

I head into the bathroom and open every cabinet, finding a beige box with a cross on it in the last one I look in. I race into the bedroom and sit in front of Nao, opening the box up. I take the cleaning strip, unwrap it, and clean the wound, noticing that it isn't as bad as it looks.

It's already starting to bind itself up, the bleeding having already stopped. I look him in the eye when I tap the band-aid.

"I'm sorry okay, I shouldn't have done that for a necklace..." that I met Corin for.

"Apology accepted." I glare at him, shaking my head.

"You're unbelievable." I close the first-aid kit, throwing it onto the bed.
