He stands straight, relieving me from the details of his face. It scared me half to death when I turned and there he was, right in my windshield.

"Nice to meet you," he says, a pop in his tone, "I'm Dev, and you are...?"

"Not interested." I don't like him, I don't like the guy behind me. I don't like how they've got me caged, and I don't like how Dev introduces himself as if we've met at a convention of some sort.

Dev blinks and his smile disappears, his expression falling and turning into a scowl. That look suits him much more. A swift breeze ruffles his black hair, causing his bangs to fall on his face.

The area under his eyes is heavy and grey, telltale of fatigue, which makes him look older than he is, yet I know he is younger than me. Fourteen, fifteen maybe, or am I reading this wrong?

I crane my neck, taking a peek at the one behind me. His face is shadowed by the sun, so I can't catch much of his face, but one thing I notice is the similar pitch black hair that rests against his back in a ponytail.

"We want to ask you a question," Dev says and the one behind me relaxes his grip on my shoulder, which is a relief. The area still aches from where Nao gripped them. I turn to look at Dev and nod, at the moment not finding the threat in them, but I know it's there.

"Shoot."

"Have you seen-"

"Of course he has seen." I jump when another person joins, seemingly out of nowhere. I turn to look and spot a female walking towards us, a slight sashay in her steps. My eyes travel from her small waist, to her flat breast, and to her face, where I pause.

Her features differ, but I wouldn't be able to mistake her for anybody else. False emotions seep into me, fanning a fire that isn't necessarily mine. Every part of me hates her, recalling the female from a memory.

Her hair is in a tight bun, a few strands framing her face. My expression twists, pulling and tugging at my face muscles until I'm sure I'm sporting the most unwelcoming look that ever existed.

She catches my expression and stops in her tracks, confusion coloring her face at my distaste of her. The guy holding my shoulders notices this, too, and puts a bit more pressure in his grip.

"As I was saying," the female whispers, and by only that I want to wring her neck, so she never dares to speak a word again. "There is no need to ask him where he is, he's our hostage now."

I grit my teeth, holding my tongue.

With that sentence I know who they are and what they want. They are Nao's 'family', the ones who came for him when we were at the Wolf Bureau, and who he's running away from.

I tear my eyes away from the girl, opting for the saying: out of sight, out of mind. It doesn't work, what it does is fuel my anger that this B is standing right behind me.

I clench my fist to try and hold my emotions.

I breathe in and then out. Not even that helps.

I slap the one behind me's hand and stand up, taking a step away from them. They don't do anything to withhold me. I pull my bag over my shoulders, and heave Nao's over one shoulder.

All eyes are on me, but this time it doesn't make me anxious.

"I don't want to be your hostage." I take a step back. "Leave me alone." Dev crosses his arms and looks at the other two standing behind the bench. The guy who's been holding me turns to the female, ponytail swishing a bit at the action.

She sighs and shakes her head. "It's not up to you."

I can feel how strong they are, and even if they weren't, three against one wouldn't be ideal. So I stay put.
