The walk to my house was quiet. For some reason, Patrick wasn't even talking.
"Why would you let me stay with you? Don't you hate people?" Laxus asked, limping next to me. I looked up at him, smiling slightly. "I don't refuse people that need help. I'm not that heartless," I said. His lips twitched a little. "But why would you accept my offer? You seem totally arrogant and mean," I asked. He ignored my last sentence. "It won't be so bad getting help from you. Plus, if I bring you to Gramps, maybe he'll let me back into Fairy Tail."
I sighed. "We're gonna have to work on that arrogance and selfishness," I mumbled. My house came into view and I walked a little faster. "I wonder how Freed, Bickslow and Evergreen are.." I heard Laxus say. I smiled lightly and opened the front door, letting Laxus in first. I closed the door behind me and took off my cloak. "So you wanna check up on your friends?" I asked. Laxus have me a confused look. "What?"
I sat on the couch and brought out a crystal ball. Laxus looked unamused. "Is this a joke?" I ignored him and set the ball on a stand. "Y/n, are you sure about this?" Patrick asked, sitting on my lap. "I'm fine, Pat," I said. I closed my eyes and hovered my hands above the ball. "Woah.."
I opened my eyes and saw the image of his three friends from before. "So, is it a joke?" I teased, smirking. Laxus glanced at me for a second before looking back at the ball. "How are you doing this?" He asked, watching intently. "It's a secret," I whispered, winking. He rolled his eyes.
The screen shook violently as the girl from before swatted it away. "I told you you shouldn't use flies as cameras," Patrick said. I rolled my eyes and took my hands away from the ball, the image going dark. Laxus turned to me and grinned.
"I might like living with you."
