"So... you guys didn't make out?" Lily asked, leaning against the storage room door. Remus turned around to look at her.

"For the last time - no!" he pulled his apron over his head and headed towards the main counter. "Peter's even on me about it, so if you two could just -"

"I heard my name, you guys talking about me?" Peter shuffled up to the counter, his eyes flickering between Lily and Remus. Lily smirked.

"We're talking about Remus' lack of intimacy on his date."

Peter laughed. "Oh, with Sirius? Yeah. I'm making bets it happens on the fifth one. Either that, or they call it quits, no in between."

Remus rolled his eyes, setting down a box of cups he had grabbed, "oh, thank you

Remus rolled his eyes, setting down a box of cups he had grabbed, "oh, thank you. You know, just because I don't shove my tongue down a guy's throat doesn't mean I don't like him"

"So you do like him!" Lily squealed, almost knocking down the cups Remus had just set down. "I totally knew it."

"Oh maybe you can go ahead and admit the same thing about you and James," Remus shot before turning to take an order. Lily held her tongue as the businessman told his extremely complicated coffee order to Remus. She began talking once Remus turned around to make the coffee.

"I have zero clue what you're on about. There's absolutely no way I'd ever be interested in that mole rat."

"I think he's pretty cool," Peter shrugged, sipping his espresso. Lily glared at him.

"Shut up, Peter," she bent down to grab a bottle of vanilla syrup, "he's annoying, clingy, and he followed me on all of my social media sites. He's not boyfriend material. Unlike you and Sirius."

"We're not boyfriends. He's on a whole other level than I am. Have you seen him wear that leather jacket? Good God. Anyways, we've been over this - me and relationships usually don't mix."

Lily sighed, leaning over the counter dramatically. "Come on! You two were practically made for each other! Opposites attract! And he's cute!"

"She's got a point," Peter noted. Remus glared at him and he shrugged. He may have been a messy and irresponsible roommate, but Peter was no liar. "He looks at you like you hung the fucking moon. Which you didn't, by the way, but try telling him that." Pete nodded towards the door that had just opened.

Remus internally cursed at himself, putting a lid on the coffee cup and handing it to the moody businessman. He already had his two best friends breathing down his neck about the try-to-be-punk who he was wooed by, he didn't need the actual man himself to show up at his work at ten in the morning. Sirius, however, didn't head towards the counter, but sat himself at the couch at the back of the shop.

"Waiting for you to make the first move?" Peter suggested as Lily took an order (not before leaving Remus with a nudge.)

"Ha, yeah, I'm glad he likes waiting to see if Hell freezes over," Remus joked. Like hell he was about to go up and strike up a conversation with Sirius. Not only was he at work, but he was pretty sure that if he attempted to go and talk, he'd knock over a few coffee tables on the way. "Just because he's here doesn't mean he wants to see me."
