Bailey's POV
I took a deep breath and I moved my fingers a little bit. My fingers. I can say that now, MY fingers. MY hair, MY smile, MY clothes, MY body!
... my scars.
... my bruises.
I looked down at my hands and saw everything that had happened again. But then I smiled and looked up to see the only person who cared about me.
"Dixey?" I questioned.
Her eyes began to tear up and she ran to me, arms open ready to embrace me.
I ran to her as well and we collided with each other halfway. With Dixey being a bit shorter she buried her head in my shoulder. We were both shaking and not saying a word, just enjoying the fact that it worked. I heard someone clear their throat behind Dixey and we released the hug.
Our friends... well, I guess I can't say that anymore... Dixey's friends stared at us a bit shocked.
"Um... Wh-who's this, Dixey?" Andrew asked, pointing over in my direction.
"Guys... let me introduce you to the best person ever... Bailey."
Their eyes widened and they all turned to me. I gave them a small wave and a smile. They still stared but waved back.
"How... Why...," Shyla began.
"We will be happy to explain it to you," I pronounce.
They were all quiet at first, but gave slow nod's anyways.
Dixey and I chuckled a little and began to explain.
Dixey began, "Bailey was never my second personality, she was just a spirit that used to be just like us. She was my best friend in second grade, and we stayed that way forever. But, then we got into a new friend group."
I took over, "They were nice to us at first, inviting us to parties, sleepovers, camps, vacations, you name it. Then, something happened."
"What?" Amanda asked, seeming to be less shaken than the others.
"That's where it gets complicated," I said.
Flashback, one year
Dixey's POV
I walked into school alone like normal, looking for the group of friends that Bailey and I had just entered. I saw them in their normal spot by Rachel's locker.
I walked passed them now looking for Bailey so we can talk with everyone, but I heard some one from the group call my name.
I turned towards the voice and found out that Fiona was the one to call me. I gave them a warm smile and walked over.
"Hey guys, how's everyone doing?" I asked, holding my green jacket cuffs.
I was in the normal items that I wore every day. A random T-shirt which was black today, jeans, and a red jacket that was on my floor. I still had on my binder and backpack since I haven't been to my locker yet, but the locker can wait.
"Oh my god, oh my god, I love your hair today Dixey!" Samantha screamed.
My eyes widened in shock, it's only been about two weeks and they're complimenting me. My hair wasn't even up, it looks like it always does. I gave her a kind smile and thanks when Bailey walked over.
