Amanda's POV
We had only been at Rachel's two hours ago. The time was 7:45, and with it being a school night, Shyla and Andrew couldn't stay long.
"Why would they take Dixey away?" Shyla asked.
Neither Andrew nor I answered.
We were all at my house, standing in front of my dining room table. My little brother was at a friend's house as well, and my parents were at work. This was why we laid out the photo's Shyla just develop out in the open.
We had just finished categorizing them,
Rachel: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of Rachel and the other girl.
Samantha: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of the pool party.
Catherine: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of the softball team.
Pacifica: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of the girls braiding eachothers hair.
Wendy: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of the girls playing with the tasers.
Amilia: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of the birdhouse.
Fiona: Body photo, saying photo, extra. Picture of the slumber party.
We put each of the victims in the order of their death, which just so happened to be the order in which we saw them. We had also put on another piece of paper the word on the back of each picture.
Going from the order of deaths, the words spelled out, 'for my give never will I self.'
The only thing that I could think of at the moment, was why did the officers take Dixey? Was it because we were coming into a crime scene? If that was the case, then why weren't we arrested as well? I wasn't sure, but we were all going to find out.
"Listen, I know that we need to get this done, but we need to get some rest. Otherwise, we won't be able to do anything to help Dixey," Shyla said.
"We can't just give up now!" I yelled.
"We are not giving up Amanda, we're just going to get some rest, then when tomorrow comes, after school we'll come back and work. Aright?" Andrew suggested.
I sighed, then nodded my head. I walked Andrew and Shyla to the door and waved them goodbye. I turned back around and went to the table again. I started to gather the information we had neatly and easily enough to get back into order.
I went to my room with the information and set it on my desk. I then went to my bed and laid down facing the ceiling. 'We know you didn't do anything Dixey. We'll get you out of there, I promise,' I thought to myself.
Shyla's POV
Once I walked through my front door, I was bombarded with questions from my family. With it being a school day, I was supposed to meet up with my sister, but I decided not to. I explained to them that I just went on a walk with my friends and that seemed to work for them.
"Hey mom?" I asked, "Do you think that tomorrow after school I could go to Amanda's house for a bit?"
"Why do you need to go over there?" my mother asked.
"Just to... work on an after school project," I told her.
It wasn't a complete lie, we were working on a project. My mother agreed to let me go and I went to our basement into my room.
