Throneblood POV
We waited just on the skirts of Arashi, the wind blowing horribly in our ears and the force of it almost knocking us backwards. With one quick strong gust Kailey flew backwards into me knocking me to the ground making me break my focus, I tried to help her up but she refused pulling herself to her feat. Her red brown hair cut short whipped in front of her grey eyes as she stared resolutely at arashi, crossbow in hand prepared to strike.
I pulled myself to my feet again just as I saw Jay coming flying out of Arashi, like a thick tree trunk we flew at us apparently unconscious. Cole and Zane ran forward to catch him, pulling him by his heading and feet just before he hit the ground. The wind seemed to slow as he was lowered to the ground, and I was able to hear more clearly
Me: IS HE ALRIGHT!?
I still had to yell to them across the sound of the storm, I watched as Cole as Zane did there best to look him over. He was knocked out but apparently not gravely injured. Or worse .... I sunk under the sudden realization of so many lives resting on my shoulders. A feeling I had been sensing a lot lately.
I looked back at the storm for one small moment (desperately hoping I had not just sent Jaylyn to imminent death) then headed over to where Jay lay.Zane was checking his pulse as Cole performed a weird pumping motion on his chest attempting to make him breath more fluently. I watched on in silence as I watched the two friends work so desperately to make sure he was all right. I looked over to where Kai and Lloyd were standing, each still with weapons out and facing Arashi, but each looking on worriedly in Jay's direction.
Lloyd: ZANE IS HE OK?!
Lloyd yelled loudly as Kai looked on, fear written on his face
Cole: I THINK HE WILL BE OKAY!?
I internally sighed with relief as the world around us got quieter and quieter, I looked up to where the storm had been and was shocked by what I now saw ... a storm thousands of years in the making ... was slowly dying away.
Jaylyn Pov-I screamed for Jay, not wanting to be pulled away but had no choice. As I was lifted higher and higher I forgot what I was screaming about. All I remembered was entering the storm and getting sucked up into this hole.
I breached through the top and landed safely on a cloud and almost expected to fall through. But to my surprise i landed safely on top. I brushed myself off and fixed my hair, before I looked up and was lost for words.
In front of me lay a large, majestic temple. Sitting on top of the clouds like it weighed nothing. It had a large main of stone with birch and clear quartz lining the walls. Multiple roofs set in a dark spruce wood set it nicely. Wind chimes dangling from every corner and clinging in the wind. Two large gongs hung on both sides of the door peacefully.I approached it cautiously and up the quartz steps, that lit up blue as I climbed them. I placed my hand on the handle and pulled. It creaked open loudly and I peered inside. The floor was lined with clear quartz tiles like the ones on the steps. The walls again lined with gongs and wind chimes. And pillars lining down the hall at about 1/4 and 3/4 way mark.
I placed my foot on one of the first tiles and the door slammed shut behind. I began to panic, but my attention was brought to a series of glowing on the tiles. As the tiles glowed, notes played from the gongs and chimes. Creating a beautiful melody. I stepped on the tiles i remembered had glowed and the notes played again. Soon it came naturally, like I had known the song and the notes the tiles played for a long time. I didn't even know I had shut my eyes until I had run into a wall, opening them to find myself on the other side of the room. And the gongs and chimes humming into silence again.
The room was massive in size, I felt familiar hear as though I had seen it all before. I tried to recall any past memories but had trouble, my mind worked hard to try to remember simple details like where I lived or why I was here ... for some reason all I could remember was the deep blue eyes of a man ... a man with dark brown hair... I think he had been trying to help me get here in some way.
