-Later, after much walking, it is now almost day and they have lodged themselves in a cave to cover from the rain that is tearing apart the outside as the sun is covered by clouds-
I sat farther away than some of the others, from the fire. It was hot enough, all the fire really did was offer us light in the darkness from the great storm clouds blocking out the rising sun through the opening of the cave. I sat with my aching back up against the dank wall, my feet were killing me and I yearned to go to bed. But I was still interested in the conversation they were having ... and despite it sounding completely childish I didn't want to be in the tent alone.
So I rubbed my eyes and kept listening, assuring myself that even if I did fall asleep here someone would either wake me up or walk me to bed.
It was mostly Cole and Kai talking now, along with a few inserts from Kailey and Llyla. We were now trying to decide where to go after the lava temple, (if we made it out that is) some reckoned we should go back and help the dark islanders... some said the greatest help we can give them is finding the crystals.
Llyla: Alvoro and Ruhlan were able to handle Radacand. And if Throneblood pulls himself together they'll be fine.
Cole interrupted her.
Cole: Yes but you're not even slightly worried about who could have been killed? Acrosine and Arocnine? Actinium? Prism!?
He spoke Prism's name a little louder then the rest.
Kailey: Of course she's worried, but us going back isn't going to bring anyone back from the dead. If Eclipse really does have elemental powers ...
The sentence faded into oblivion, no one wanted to think about that. To think that Eclipse would be even more evenly matched against us then he already was, was a scary thought. A long draining silence filled the room and many others began to yawn.
Zeanna: Well I think I'm going to go to bed then.
I looked up toward the sound of her voice and saw her hand leave Zane's, this in and of itself was definitely a shipping revelation. But Zeanna soon propped herself up against the wall turned back to Zane.
Zeanna: I'll see you tomorrow
She kissed him quickly on the mouth and Jaylyn's eyes opened wide.
Zane: night'
Zeanna stood to leave, Jaylyn made quick eye contact with me before smiling wide and standing up to follow Zeanna into the girls tent. I followed as well. I heard Jay's voice behind me.
Jay: aww, you got a good night and I didn't? What has this island done to us?
Once in the tent we each turned to Zeanna quickly, smiling widely.Me: sooo-
Zeanna rolled her eyes slightly, laying down on her cot on the ground.
Jaylyn: Oh come on! You can't just leave us like that- now you have to tell us all about- well- EVERYTHING!
I laughed as Zeanna sat up, trying to keep the smile off of her face ... and it gave me comfort to know that even with everything that was going on- there were still friends that loved each other
Cole POVThe rest of the girls followed Zeanna, Jaylyn, and Nicole to bed ( or to sit up and talk as I have learned girls like to do). Zane decided also that he was going to turn in early, and Lloyd's eyes were already misted over deep in thought. I had seen him like this alot lately, his once bright green eyes now shown a sparkling almost silver. I had brushed it off as an effect of the W.I.S.P. but now I wasn't quite sure.
