With a flick of my wrist three people were thrown backwards against the wall, a blue light erupted from my hands and from my uncovered eye, even as the conqueror of an island you could never forget your sense of style. A group of maybe four or five ran at me all holding weapons, with a quick twist of my forearm they were frozen and swept across the grounds crumpling unconscious behind me. I sensed Zerenity running up behind me before I felt it, she hit her weak wrists into the small of my back but it made little less then a disturbance. I whipped her around with my hands rather than my magic and gripped her neck tightly watching the fear fill her eyes.

Me: Did you really think, that betraying your friends would get you anywhere? You fool! Never give up what you have for something you think might be better, because one day you will end up with nothing.

My burned eye stung at my words that I knew were all too true, I gripped her neck tighter as she passed out and I dropped her on the ground.

The blue fire that I had set to the torches was now spreading quickly throughout the Upprorisk base and the people were scattering like mice trapped in a bucket. Many were able to evacuate through tunnels, but they weren't my main concern right now. I quickly whipped with my magic sending a light blue light from my hand at a tall young man as he ran for the exit. He had smoky silver hair a rough face and white W.I.S.P. eyes. I held my magic dangerously close to the tattoo on the small of his back, something I knew was a weak point for all dark islanders.

I twisted his slowly around to face me,

Me: Listen to me, and listen to me very very closely, you are going to tell me what is going on here or you are going to die, it is really a very simple concept even she was able to understand it.

I gestured to Zerenity still either dead or unconscious on the ground, I didn't know which, and I didn't care.

The man looked for a second like he might say something but the next second he spat in my face,

Man: I would rather die.

I scoffed, Zerenity had already told me the basics, essentially that there were 10 light islanders sent here to destroy me, that they had unknown and unbound powers, and they were the rightful owners to the crystals. If Zerenity was correct in saying that they had already obtained one, this worried me. But obviously they would not succeed, they had no idea what was coming for them. I had exterminated the only ones who had seen my face, and I was infinitely and undoubtedly more powerful than these other light islanders. I only needed a little bit more information now, and that was where to go next.

Alvoro Pov-

It was devastating, screams so loud they echoed out the cave. I cautiously approached the cave with Ruhlan following behind me.

Ruhlan: where are we? Why is there screaming

I turned to him, remembering he didn't know where I had been. And I had also forgotten what side he was on merely an hour before. I stopped myself from reaching up to rub my neck at the thought.

Me: It's-

The dreary silence after the scream was then filled with a booming voice.

?: my my. So this is where the magic happens? It's been a pain to find this place, well done. You did well. But, sadly, all good things... must come to an end

Ruhlan: t-that sounds like his highness... pain to find... Alvoro-

Ruhlan looked at me with disbelief and shock mixed in a spiraling tornado of an expression. I glared slightly at him, ashamed at what he has said

Me: his highness?! You can't honestly tell me you believed that complete psychopath was the KING

Ruhlan said nothing, I rubbed my eyes, pushing my glasses higher on my face as I did. Without another word I entered the cave, hearing Ruhlan's footprints seconds behind mine. Finding the rock usually blocking the entrance blown to the side and merely pieces of rubble now. I bit my lip and began to climb down the rope ladder into the lit room below.
