Chapter 4◆◇◆The stages of a Deviant

As soon as I heard my name,, my heart jumped to my throat. I stood up shaking profusely. I walked slowly unto the podium watching everyone with careful eyes. As I put my mouth closer to the device I knew I was going to embarrass myself. I finally got some courage and said'

"Good afternoon, My name is Karlin Asinton , I am of Gareth and Reah Asington, I am of. ..... water and moisture" I said. I figured since I could be enveloped in that crust, maybe, I could control water. Though I noticed when I said water the whole crowd was shocked.

I looked for a drink and collected one from those servants. The crowd started to mumble and mutter, but I payed no heed to them. I poured the liquid on my head and watched my hands start to gather the icy material until almost all my body parts were full with the material. I remembered that I couldn't turn it off yet do I quickly cleaned some of the crust away. As I wiped my body that glow erupted from me once again and I stepped down from the pain and sat down back on my seat.

I watched as the man walked up to the podium and announced

"When you finish your food, go directly to bed, classes start 8:00 am prompt"

Everyone stood up as they had all finished their food. Div led me to our room, where we smoothed our beds. I lay down on my bed just after I had arranged it and Divinia screamed in alarm and said,

"What're you doing? "

"Sleeping? Isn't that what we're supposed to do"

"That's what principal Osoah thinks we're doing, but that's not what we're doing" she said slyly

"So what do we do? " I asked

"Let me tell you everything about everything"

"Okay"

"So whatdaya wanna know? "said Divinia.

"Uh, tell me more about the Elementals" I said.

"Okay, so gas Elementals can turn into poisonous games which can be used as weapons and because I am of metal, I can create stuff like swords with en a matter of seconds"

"Cool, so what can water Elementals do? " I asked

"There's never really been one, though legend says that because the Earth is made up mostly of water they are the most powerful. It also says that they usually have an water guardian"

No wonder the crowd had seemed sunrise when I said I was of water.

"Huh? "

Div shook her head in laughter before saying" water guardians are like balancers. They make water Elementals control their dark side"

"Oh, so like if I had a guardian my powers would be on a smaller scale? "I said

"Yeah, I think so, you'll have to visit the library later"

"We have a library!?" I said lying down and pulling my blankets over my body.

"Yeah, of course,  I'll take you there tomorrow" said Divinia.

I closed my eyes and waited for the dreams.

"The Deviants were lying" shrieked Umpqua her wings blowing the air angrily. Her wings had gotten black streaks on them and her face was flushed with anger.
