The Huntsman◆◇◆Chapter 7

I blinked several times before squinting down at the large printed words. So I truly was the descendant of a legend. As all this processed , my eyes blanked and created another vision.

There was a black Deviant with black death wings standing up right on the hospital bed. I saw a tuft of golden blonde hair and realized it was Umpona.
Her eyes were the color of molten lava. Someone was shouting at her to stop. He had grown ferocious blue wings and was covering Umpona with them. A man in white iron clad and brown slippers came in with some pills and syringes.

He shouted for Clase to stop the transfer but he wouldn't listen. The black ooze ran into his light and merged with his beautiful set of wings. The doctor pushed him away but by that time, it was too late. The transfer had ended. Clase had collected the darkness in Umpona and had mergeed it with himself.

I woke up to see a white ceiling adorned with beautiful runic symbols. Each one floated and formed English words like be still or at rest. I saw a dark colored woman in a slick body tight suit which was black. The only contrast to her colour was the whiteness of her silvery eyes and white short hair. The woman hesitated for a second before saying,

"You've woken up,  finally "

She gestured towards a messy pile at the side of the bed. Clustered on top of the ground were gifts and cards. I didn't even know I had that many friends.

"What happened to me?" I asked.

She rose her left eyebrow slightly before saying,

"We have unlocked a part of your powers" said the lady.

"Huh? " I questioned. I didn't remember anything except from the fact that my parents were actually from this worlds.

"We found something you shouldn't have"

I gritted my teeth and balled my fists so tight blood dripped from my palms.

"You are an Eauraie" she said.

"A what now!" I said pressing my forehead.

"An Eauraie, beings that can control all the elements. That was the first stage of your Silica, phases you shall go through during your advancement from Elemental to Eauraie"

I gripped the sides of the bed and tried to stand up but I gave up with a groan. My hands were blistered and my for head was clustered with perspiration. As I reached for a glass of water the nurse was stretching to give me I felt a burning  pain in my fingers. At first there was heat on the mattress. Then I noticed in my palms blue balls of flickering flames lay there scorching my fingers. The doctor poured the water on the balls soaking me. The fire went out with a hiss. As I felt the water soaking my legs I felt energy surge through me.

I clenched my hands atop the sides of the bed and pulled myself up before trying to balance myself. The nurse rushed and helped me cooing words of concern. I grabbed my jacket in a desk and walked to the bathroom. As soon as I got there I spilled my lunch. As I rinsed my mouth I noticed black symbolic tattoos were forming slowly. Creeping from my fingers to my shoulders. I'd always wanted tattoos , but my friends told me they were always painful , this was nothing.

I turned on the tap of the Bath up and lay in it till the water reached my chin. I felt at ease and relaxed. My muscles fell at the hotness of the water and my mind drifted once again into slumber.

Umpona had gotten her color back. Her wings were purely white weaving around the light creating little shadows and reflections. She was sitting down, her eyes pouring with silvery crystal tears. She looked at the body on the floor, sniffling uncontrollably.

Chase had become the color of obsidian. His eyes were no different from the eyes of Deviants. His skin had little white rashes contrasting in the darkness of his skin. His brown hair was now an ashy color.

Umpona was about to stand when a nurse came I with her results. She looked can listened carefully to the nurse who told her she was poisoned by Mundane blood. Umpona stood up gripping her sword with only one thought in mind. I am going to kill that Mundane bastard.

I woke up drenched in sweat. The bed was literally soaked. As I stood up to wash up in the bathroom, I heard a creaky sound. The sound grunted and made me hide in a dark compartment of the room. I watched as a man wearing a dark leather jacket a sword which glowed and then bounced off some rainbow colored light. The man had a blue tooth earpiece and was talking.

"Yeah, Osoah , she's not here"

"yeah I'm sure" "ok"

Osoah was the principal . Why did he send someone to check on me and why did the man have a sword. What was going on in this school. I heard a large creakkk that shook me out of my thoughts. The man had seen me. He was coming closer, and closer then abruptly he stopped. There was a bracelet on the floor. My bracelet.

I watched as he bent over and picked it up. He sniffed it a little before looking into my hiding place and saying,

"Come out, I don't have time for this nonsense"

I stepped out, looking in search of water and found myself concentrating on the bathroom taps. Slowly I let them trickle out not making any noise. Before I got them closer to his legs.

"I'm just doing my job, I don't want to do this" said the man I'd already nicknamed the huntsman.

"Wait, what do you want to do? " I asked finally speaking.

" I'm here to kill you" said the huntsman.

Whoa! You've met a new character. If you liked this chapter. It wouldn't hurt to take two seconds and tap that little star. So I'm planning to do a comic of this story what do you think.
