Oh Happy Day

"Clarissa!" I shouted from the desk of the nurses station that was conveniently right across the hall from Brayden's hospital room. "Yeah" she replied back in a similar tone as she scurried over beside me at the desk. "You called for me?" She asked with a smile, 

"Yes Mr and Mrs. Gallagher i need a signature of release from both of you. This is just to let us know you were both here to take him home and so on and so forth." She explained making us sign our names twice.
"Is that all you need?" Clarissa asked as the nurse shook her head. "Yep youre free to go!" She said with a smile handing over a few prescriptions for Brayden as Clarissa darted back into the room to finish packing up the rest of our things. Brayden was in the lobby playing with the nursing staff and playing with glove balloons the staff had made for him for a farewell/birthday party. It was small but sweet we were fortunate for sure to have such a wonderful team of people helping us during our tough time here.

"Anything you need me to do babe?" I asked feeling guilty of not helping. "Ummmmmm no, no i think this is the last bag" she said double checking every drawer and rack from here to the bathroom. I laughed at her O.C.D actions, "what?" she said with a half grin as she zipped up the last bag. "Nothing, im just glad to go home that's all with both of you." I said with glee when my phone lit up.

Fiona- were here!!!!! 🎂😎😁

Me- We're ready! ;)

Fiona- I bet, need help with anything?

Me- maybe when we get to the car i think we can handle it til then, let me go grab Brayden then we'll be on our way down.

Fiona- okay!

Fiona's here! Are you ready? I asked knowing the answer was a yes before she even spoke the words. Alright! Just let me go grab Brayden, and we can go home! I said as i leaned forward to kiss Clarissa "I love you" she said in a whisper. "I love you too!"

There he was acting like a normal kid again, rolling around on the floor and laughing and playing with the team of nurses who had been with him during his unfortunate stay here. "Hey buddy!" I said getting down on his level "you ready to get out of here" i said when he dropped everything he was doing and ran straight over to me laughing. "I'll take that as a yes!" One of the nurses said putting away the toys in the lobby area. "Well, i just want to say thank you to every nurse and doctor that helped us while we were here it made all the more difference in such a hard situation and we truly appreciate it!" Clarissa said before we left, "yes thank you all" i added as Brayden waved goodbye to some of the staff and we got on the elevator.

I wonder whats taking them so long? Fiona said pacing back and forth in the parking lot He said they'd be out soon. "Well you know how hospitals are you sign one paper then you have to sign about fifteen more" Ian shrugged "they'll get here when they get here Fi dont sweat it!"  No more did the words spew from Ian's mouth there they were walking out of the main entrance lip with a suitcase in each hand and Clarissa with Brayden in hers. Without hesitation i ran over to the three of them and gave them the biggest hug i could muster and held as tightly as i could for as long as i could. "I'm so happy to see you! all of you!" Fiona gasped kissing all of them and hugging more "come on guys join in!" Fiona said to Ian and mickey who were standing on ether side of Lip and Clarissa. "Well it wasn't for the lack of trying" mickey said sarcastically making Ian laugh. "We were just trying to find a space in between the four of you" he said with a snarky grin. Brayden was overjoyed with all of the attention but as soon as he seen uncle Ian it was O.V. cause he refused to go to anyone else but Ian first.

"Hey little guy! I think we should change youre name to champ! You sure have been through alot for someone so little" he said making faces and funny sounds to entertain Bray with.
"You got that right" Lip added as he started to load up the taxi van with their things. "Where's Debbie and Carl?" I asked out of curiosity "they are at the house with Kev and V getting it cleaned up and ready for you guys to come home! And they are just as excited." Fiona gleamed "well hell enough of this small talk Let's Go Home!!!" Lip shouted as we all piled up in the taxi and drove away from the hospital.
