It was Wednesday again and I was walking slowly through the streets, eyes peeled for Rooster. I was just starting to give up hope when I bumped into someone and fell back into someone's arms. I got ready to throw a fist until I heard a familiar voice.
"Hello again." It's him! My throat went dry as I stood and turned. He smiled once his eyes looked into mine and I took deep breath to calm my rising temperature.
"It's a good thing you showed up. I was just getting ready to go inside." My heart stopped. "You were...waiting for me?" "Of course I was, girls like you aren't very easy to forget." My eyes lowered themselves bashfully. Be still my fluttering heart.
"Would you...walk with me?" I looked up. "W-With you?" "Don't worry, Lily's not with me today." He winked playfully. Someone pinch me.
"I'd love to." He held out his arm and with trembling fingers I took it. Noticing this, he leaned in to whisper into my ear, his breath brushing against my neck.
"I'd loosen up if I were you. It'll make it easier to move through the crowd." I nodded ever so slightly. Oh Rooster, my thoughts softly swooned, I think I'm falling for you.

After that, I lost track of time, swimming in his green eyes and melting into his rich voice. It wasn't until sunset when I realized it was time for me to head back. "It's getting late. Shouldn't you be heading home?" A wave of relief washed over me. "You read my mind." We walked back into the city, quietly enjoying each other's company.
"I know where to go from here. It was nice talking to you." He smiled. "To you as well, Ann Marie."
Then he kissed my cheek. An action that made me gasp softly and feel like floating away. When he pulled away, I fell back on the souls of my shoes.
"See you next week." And he was walking away, looking at me over his shoulder. Once he disappeared around the corner, I sighed.
"Oh man, I think I'm in love." I stated as I walked back to the mansion with a feeling like I was flying above the clouds.
