The next day, Annie surprised me by asking if I'd come with her on her weekly orphanage visit. Being her nanny, I didn't really have a choice.

When the car pulled up to our stop, I was greeted by a rather miserable looking building. "Geez, I've seen alleyways that look better then this." To that, Annie laughed. We hopped out and skipped to the door. After ringing the bell, the door opened to reveal a dark red headed woman who reeled of alcohol and possessed a pair of clouded green eyes that looked familiar to me.

"Oh? And who are you?" Her voice had a hazy, drunken tone to it. "Miss Hannigan I presume? I'm Ann Marie, we're here to visit the orphans." The woman looked me over before shrugging and walking inside, Annie and I following closely. As we walked in, I noticed it was a bit bad looking place but had a feeling of uneasiness in its halls.

We were led to an open door to which Annie ran to and disappeared into the room, I paused before carefully following.

The first thing I noticed was the girls, the bedroom was full of them. They squealed and surrounded Annie in a group hug, peppering her with questions. I was just starting to feel left out when a little girl with brown hair and eyes spotted me.

"Hey Annie, who's this?" The room fell silent as they all turned to look at me. "That's Ann Marie Poppins, my new nanny and the best teenager in the world." Their voices rose up again as they pulled me into the group. After answering all their questions, the brown haired girl, whose name was Molly, made a request.

"Ann Marie? Do you think you could tell us a story?" Instantly they were all over the idea. A story huh? That's one thing mom didn't do, but I sure can try. "Alright, what do you guys want to hear?"

For the next 20 minutes, all I did was tell stories. Long ones, short ones, all of which kept the girls fascinated and asking for more. When it was time to go, I was reluctant to do so but waved as we were driven off.

Man, what nice kids. They're lucky to have a friend like Annie and she's lucky to have them.
