angelic. one word to describe him. the six hours that were left in the flight, equaled six hours with him for her. the ten minutes waiting to exit, one minute walking out of the plane and to the airport.
she yawned again for the fifth time in this half hour.
'hey are you ok?' he asked looking at her. she nodded while closing her eyes and rubbing them hard.
'i just didn't sleep so well last night. i was writing an article about global warming.' she yawned again. 'i'm want to study environmental engineering. but i probably won't be able to, my grandma wants me to be a doctor. '
she rubbed her face and eyes roughly again. she needed to wake up. she could sleep when she arrived at the hotel. not when she was sitting next to the jack edward johnson.
'but right now. i can't sleep. '
'why?'
'because i'm sitting next to you. do you know how many girls dream this? how many times i dreamed this? i can't waste even one minute. '
he thought of how true that could be. was he that important. well, he was always sure how people would choose his friend, gilinsky over him.
she stood up to go to the bathroom leaving him with confusion. he closed his eyes for a second just to get his mind together. he didn't think that the plane would be a good place to sleep. maybe if he slept his mind would stop thinking. he didn't have much of a choice.
when she came back she looked at him. sleeping with his mouth a little open. she sighed. with him sleeping she wouldn't be able to get to her seat. may tried getting to her seat with a jump-like motion. she did not fail but hit her head.
looking at him she smiled. perfect. he was so perfect. getting out her notebook, she stated drawing a rose. a rose that has just opened, still is. adding some details she moved in to the other picture. a rose which is on the best time of the its existence. fully opened. ten another one similar to that. then one slowly dying. and lastly the dead one.
she smiled proudly as she breathed out. she checked her watch. her smile faded away as she understood there was only four and half hours left on the flight. she looked back to her sketch.
'should i color it?' she thought. no. she would fuck this up. it was unasked. when she
ooked over to her left she saw jack's eyes slowly opening.
'how long i slept?' he asked with his voice sounding tired.
   'something like forty minutes.'
'what is that?' he asked peeping at the paper.
'drawing.'
'i know that maya. '
'well, jj this is kinda the life of a rose. any ideas in what should i name it?'
'life of a rose?'
     she hit his arm playfully.
'something not anyone can find, edward.'
'it should be something you can name an album.' she tried explaining.
'why didn't you say that from the start?!' he exclaimed throwing his hands in the air.
she laughed while she wrote the date, the time and signed the paper.
'okay let's think the rose is dying slowly so-'
'gone.'
'what?'
'you should name it gone. the rose is gone it all fits. plus, it's a bomb name for an album. '
'that's actually not bad.' she said writing it in fancy letters under the roses. she smiled and placed the notebook to her backpack.
'oh! how did i forget?' she mumbled more to herself, but she was heard by johnson. she unlocked her phone and opened the notes app.
he looked at her phone screen, seeing instagram usernames.
'what are those?'
'they are usernames of fan accounts. for you and gilinsky. they love you so much and they are deserved to be noticed.'
' okay I need to write this down-'
'or you can text me.'
'what? how?'
'like i can give you my number. you know imessage and shit.'
she stood there with wide eyes. did her idol just ask for her number? she couldn't even get a normal boy to give her his number let alone a celebrity.
'are we going to trade phones or?'
she quickly got out from the notes app, and opened contacts. jack opened his phone and handed it to may.
she opened the contacts and put in her number.
maya from the plane she typed in the name. (damn that rhymed).
he quickly put in his number and typed in the name
my name ain't edward
she laughed when she took her phone back, still amazed.
'so, when are you dropping that album? i don't want no fake date again.'
