"Oh, I get it. You got a thing for my girl!" Tom said smirking, Ed hated that smirk "that's to cute" he continued walking over to Ed "try not to take this personal." Before Ed could say what he meant, the air was knocked out of him, he groaned in pain doubling over grabbing Tom's shoulders so he wouldn't fall to the ground completely "want some more? Up you get" Tom said pulling Ed up by his arms and punching him again, Ed already had tears in his eyes, the tears started pouring, Ed was weak and Tom was strong, why did he think this was a good idea? He couldn't hold
back a sob as he took another hit to the stomach.

Tom smiled as he heard Ed Sob "man this kid is weak" he thought as he swung his arm back to punch him again. Beating Ed down was going to be easy. And fun.

Ed was crying by now officer Doughtery pulled him up by his arms again and looked down at him before swinging his arm back and punching Ed's face, Ed's knees buckled and he fell to the ground, tom straddled him and kept hitting, he hit Ed again and again and again, until Ed was sobbing

Tom looked down at Ed, he was a mess his nose was surely broken and bleeding his glasses were cracked from the punches to the face, his left eye was slightly swollen, and his lip was cut Tom chuckled "how pathetic" Tom snapped at Ed who was crying now, that's when he pulled out his pocket knife. Ed's eyes widened when Tom pulled out his knife "no, please, please no" Ed muttered weakly, tom wasn't listening, he picked up Ed and dragged him to the alley nearby, he slammed Ed against the building wall and plunged the knife into the same place he'd punched before, he did it a second time then stopped, if Ed was going to die it should at least be slow, he wiped his knife of on Ed's pant leg, he didn't want to ruin his new jeans, he pulled Ed close to his face and whispered "I hope you've learned your lesson. Don't ever come between me and Kristin again, and if you tell anyone about this, I'll kill you." he let the collar of Ed's shirt go and with that he stalked off for his date with Kristin.

Lee and Jim were walking down the street for my why're date that night , they were laughing and telling jokes when the suddenly heard someone crying and a small plead for "help..." the voice sounded familiar they walked towards the sound, lee couldn't stop the gasp she let out upon seeing Ed laying on the ground beaten up and bleeding "oh my god, Ed, what happened" Jim said as him an lee rushed forward to help him "I got mugged" he said weakly, the pain In His voice was clear, lee realized he'd been stabbed "Jim call an ambulance" she said quickly, Jim immediately pulled out his phone and called an ambulance, lee took out a small handkerchief she kept in her bag and folded it into a square quickly putting it on Ed's wound and pressing down hard, Ed winced the pain and held back a yelp, they stayed like that for hours, making sure Ed stayed conscious, eventually the ambulance arrived, they let by lee and Jim come in the ambulance and then they were off to the hospital.
