I will love you forever (final chapter)

//AN// this will be the final chapter of this story, i have had so much fun writing this and the feedback has been amazing. But I've started to grow away from Gotham and i don't really watch it anymore. Thinking about the show doesn't bring me any joy anymore, I've had so much fun writing this. But i have so many other ideas that i want to explore, and writing this story has become more of a chore and is bringing stress trying to keep the story going. I hope you'll all stick around for my other stories.

//Four years later//

Ed didn't think he'd ever felt more nervous than he did today as he walked through the forest, holding Kristen's hand. he walked up to a large Oak, the same one they had sat under when they'd met Mr. Penguin, he took a deep breath and turned to face Kristen, still holding her hands "Kristen, we've been together for awhile now" he said, he could feel his heart thumping against his chest, his hands were shaking "and i love you, so much..." Kristen was staring at him confusedly "and i can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else" he pushed up his glasses nervously "Ed..." Kristen said, putting a hand on his cheek "just say what's on your mind..." she said softly, Ed took a deep breath and took out the small box, getting down on one knee. He looked up at Kristen, who's eyes had widened "Kristen Marcel Kringle, will you marry me?" he asked her, opening the small box to reveal a small silver ring. Kristen grabbed his hand and killed him up to kiss him, smiling widely. They stayed there for a moment before Kristen pulled away from the kiss to look at him "well? what do ya say?" Ed asked, Kristen smiled nodded "of course!" she said, hugging him tightly. Edward Nygma had never been happier.

//a few months later//

  "you look amazing, don't worry" Leslie said reassuringly, rubbing Kristen's back. Kristen took a deep breath as she looked at herself in the mirror. The white dress reached all the way down to her feet and the semi-transparent veil trailed down behind her, she sighed softly, yeah..Leslie was right, she looked beautiful, sh had nothing to worry about. Kristen smiled at the mirror, the colorful bouquet was surprisingly heavy "i can't wait to see how Ed looks in his tux" she said happily, She turned to look at her friends and smiled "ugh, I'm so nervous!" she said, she could hear how squeaky her voice was, she took a deep breath and sighed softly "you ready?" Leslie said "ready as i'll ever be" Kristen said, then her, Leslie and Kristen's sister all headed out to meet up with her dad so he could walk her down the aisle.

Ed stared at his reflection, he didn't think he could get any more nervous then he had when he asked Kristen to marry him, he must've not thought about the actually marrying her part, he was excited and nervous at the same time. he felt someone put a hand on his shoulder and turned around, Jim was standing there in a black suit "you okay?" he said, Ed nodded "just a little nervous" he said "it'll be fiiiine! she loves you, she's a dork, you're a nerd! you two are perfect for each other" Harvey said from his spot in a chair by the window, he was wearing a black suit as well. Ed sighed and examined his suit in the mirror, he had a deep green tie and a small pin he'd gotten from his mom before she had left him with his dad. he smiled at himself and sighed "Harvey..." Jim said in his warning tone, Harvey raised his hands "what? I'm just being honest!" he said, Ed turned to look at them both "how do i look?" he said, Jim smiled at him "you look great" he said, Edward smiled softly, he took a deep breath "alright, let's do this" he said, straightening his back as they walked out of the hotel room and headed to the church.

Kristen felt her hands shaking as her father locked his arm with hers as the doors to the church opened and she stepped inside, she looked up from her feet and saw Ed staring at her, smiling happily. Kristen smiled as she stepped on the pedestal in front of Ed. The minister began speaking "We're all here today to celebrate the relationship of Kristen Kringle and Edward Nygma and to be witnesses and supporters of the commitment they share with one another. Together we're a group of the most important people in their lives and they've brought us here to publicly recognize that we've all played some special part in the love they share today.
