This will be a short chapter and the last chapter of this story! Thank you.

Shawn's POV

Today is Avery's 17 birthday. My girl is 17. Everyone thought that I forgot about her birthday, but no, I didn't! I want to make this day so great for Avery. I woke up at 2 PM to start planning her party. I know Avery doesn't like big gatherings, so it will be like a intimate get-together. And maybe a special guest...

Anyways, I jumped out of bed and put on black ripped jeans, and a jean patterned shirt with black converse. Good thing, I took a shower before I passed out last night. I didn't want to waste my time this morning. I put some cologne on and fix my hair and walk out my bedroom door. I grab my car keys and head to our town's florist.

When I arrive, I picked up this beautiful yellow roses I reserved last week. You heard me, last week. I said last week. I came prepared ladies and gentlemen. I want my girl to know that too. I get back in my car with the roses and start picking up the food for the get together. I stop by Chick-Fil-A and get the chicken nugget platter. I also got like 40 large waffle fries. Avery is absolutely obsessed. Avery will think I'm trying to make her fat with all this greasy food, so I got her an edible arrangement too. I can't wait to see her reaction right now. I put all the food in the trunk and I check to see if I have Avery's ultimate gift. I bought her a Kendra Scott rose gold necklace. Yep, this will make her leap with joy. I know it. It's time to call Claire and Kylie, so they can distract her while I set up the small party. "Hey Kylie! You ready? I'm ready to set this party up," I said. "I'm on her way to her house with Claire at this very moment," She responded. "Great! See you soon," I said.

I arrive at her house and open the door with ease. I asked Claire to leave it open for me, so I could get in. I set up everything up in my OCD way of order. I think it looks very professional if I do say so myself. Balloons, food, presents. Everything is here. Music is covered. I think it's time. Okay, my plan is to slam the door and make her think her mom is home, but it's just me. I'm holding flowers and I'm ready to see her reaction. Let's do it.

I slam the door and I hear footsteps coming down the stairwell. I see her and god, she is just gorgeous.

Avery's POV

The door slams loudly downstairs and I'm confused because my mom doesn't get home until late. Claire and Kylie smile at each other and I'm shrug because that's something they would do. I walk down the stairs and see him with these amazing yellow roses. How did he get those? God, they must have been worth a fortune. I ran up to him and hugged him so right. I was so grateful for him. I looked to my right and saw all these balloons saying "Happy Birthday!" and food platters. "Did you do this?" I smirked. "A little birdie told me you turn 17 today." He said. I smile and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. Claire and Kylie are already eating the chicken nuggets and I laugh when Claire looks at me with a mouth full of chicken in her mouth. I soon I was about to pop a fry into my mouth, I heard my doorbell ring. I opened it to see my twin brother smiling wide at me. He has to big suitcases with him. "Cameron! I missed you so much. I can't believe you came all this way," I exclaimed. "Happy birthday, sis! You know I have to be here for your 17th birthday," Cam told me. I just hugged him for a good few minutes and we made our way to my group of friends.
This party was all I wanted and more. It was very chill and quaint, and not too big. Shawn is the best boyfriend for planning this. "Avery, can I give my present?" He asked. "Of course!" I wasn't expecting much since it's only my birthday. They aren't popular my household. Shawn hands me this small box wrapped in lavender ribbon. He knows my favorite color is purple. I love him so much. I open it and I see this beautiful rose gold Kendra Scott necklace.
"On my god. You didn't have to do this." A test dropped down my check. Shawn wiped it from my face and placed the necklace around my neck. "One more thing, you know I gotta sing for you, babe," He smiled and sat down on s chair with his guitar.

*Starts to play Lights On*

He finishes with one last final strum.

"How did I end up with you? You are the most real person I've ever met. I'll tell you that," I said.

"What can I say, Jennings? I'm crazy about you."

Okay, this chapter was longer than I expected it to be. I hoped you guys liked this story. With my next story, I will make sure to have a posting schedule, so I won't get behind on posts. If I do have conflicts, I'll let y'all know. Thanks for reading!
