Drenched

Avery's POV

"Bye Mom!" I yelled running down the street with a waffle in my hand. As I get to my bus stop I see the bus slowly driving away in the distance. "LINDA!" I said yelling the bus driver's name. The bus abruptly stopped and I ran a quarter of a mile to it. I got on the bus and Linda and I quickly exchanged our good mornings. I walked in the aisle as I saw everyone staring at me. "Yeah, I know the bus driver's name! So what?" I said and every body continued to what they were doing.

I plopped down in the gray leather seat in the back of the bus. I pulled out my headphones out of my PINK black sparkly backpack and slowly put them in each ear. I quickly played my favorite song, Oblivion by Bastille. I don't know but it was so soothing to me. Whenever, I was sad or mad I listened to this song with my best friends while eating double fudge ice cream and watching Gossip Girl in our pajamas as all the stress that was on me went away.

I glanced out the window to notice it started raining. Hard. I searched my backpack for raincoat which is sadly not there. Crap. I think to my self as I was munching on my waffle. We arrived at school and I walked out with my backpack over my head, around me everybody was looking at the idiot who didn't have a raincoat and if you haven't figured that out yet it was me. "Ew!" I yelled and noticed my new beige toms were ruined because I apparently wasn't watching wear I was going and stepped in a pile of mud.

I stepped inside the school, scraping my toms on the gray rough rug. I walked to my locker putting in my combination as it opened. "Hey, Avs!" said my two best friends, Claire and Kylie. I noticed they were wet too but they didn't seem to mind unlike me. "Hey guys!" I said with a fake smile. I wasn't in a good mood cause I was drenched. We talked like we usually did before class but I had to leave early cause I wanted to get a good seat in Math.

We exchanged our goodbyes after we talked for about a good 10 to 15 minutes. "See you at lunch!" I yelled as the walked away and went two separate ways to their classes. I was actually glad they didn't have the same classes I wanted to have a equal amount of time with each one of them I thought and my thoughts were interrupted when I bumped into a boy with sparkling brown eyes.
