~~Your P.O.V~~

You wake up to the sound of your alarm blaring at you, screaming at you to get your ass out of bed. Glaring at nothing in particular, you turn off your alarm and stare blankly at the ceiling above you.

"Thank god it's Friday." You mutter to yourself under your breath as you roll off your bed to a stand. Making your way towards bathroom, you take a quick shower savouring in the warmth of the water before you fully come to your senses and hurry yourself up. I you kept dallying you'd mess up your schedule, which would lead you to be late, which you definitely didn't want to be today.

Your routine was always the same, first you'd shower or just wash your face if you weren't feeling ambitious enough, next you go and get dressed. After that was hair, followed by makeup, majority of the time you keep it quick and easy just framing the face, unless it's something on the more important side. Next you'll go down the hall, eat with your roommate and brush your teeth. Then drive off to university. The campus is only about five minutes or so from your apartment so you're usually early for class, unless you mess with the schedule.

You get dressed, throwing on your favourite jacket and shoes, and quickly finish applying the last touches on your makeup before heading to the kitchen for breakfast.

"You want toast?" Darren asks you as you walk into the kitchen.

"Why not?" You reply, grabbing a mug from the cupboard and filling it with coffee as you grab the toast off the counter. As you take a sip you immediately take another needing as much energy as you can get for you final today.

"Your welcome." He states glancing at you from the toaster as he grabs the fresh piece seeing as how you stole his previous one. He sends you a playful glare as he sits down across the table, a book opened next to him as he studies.

"Darren Banks you're my hero." You mock him as you take a bite of your toast. He rolls his eyes and looks back to his book.

Darren's always up before you, his classes being earlier than your own. This morning he looks tired, but not exhausted like a lot of the time. His coppery hair is a bit of a mess and he has slight bags under his eyes. You don't say anything during all of breakfast and neither does he, you simply eat in a comfortable silence.

Finishing your toast and coffee, you head back down the hall to brush your teeth. You almost end up tripping as the cat bolts down the slim hall beside you.

"One day I swear to god I'm going to-"

"Did you say something (Y/N)?" Darren questions from down the hall.

"Just talking to the cat." You call back, glaring intently at Burr who was perched happily on the coffee table, licking away at his paws, not a single care in the world.

"Jerk..." You mutter as you walk past him.

"Technically you're not even my cat!" You exclaim as he rubs up against your legs, picking him up as you continue your rant.

"You're supposed to be, but you decided you would hate me instead. Guess what? The feeling's mutual." You finish and put him down on the floor of the bathroom, to which he walks out, trotting back to the kitchen off to find Darren most likely.

"Just because I named you after Aaron Burr doesn't mean you have to betray me like he did to Ham!" You call after him knowing that, number one, he wasn't listening. Number two, he's just a cat and you're most likely going crazy.

You brush your teeth and go grab a pair of sun glasses off your dresser, you walk back down the hall and begin to head out the door.

"I almost forgot, remember Quinn and Chase are staying over tonight." You call to your roommate, Quinn has been your best friend since you can remember, she always has your back no matter what. Her, Chase, and you were inseparable as kids and that hadn't changed too much as you got older.
