Something that has been on my mind lately has been the new health care that the President (blech) and other members of government has been trying to "Fix". I love Obama to this day, and i think that the ACA (Affordable Care Act) was a tremendous leap in making sure everyone could have the healthcare they deserve. They're are some people who hated it, for reasons i have no grasp of. But as one of the people who have been on Medicaid and to  those who benefit from the ACA, it was a life saver.

I was able to get an IUD at my local health department for FREE. I have a non-hormonal 10-year lasting form of birth control, and i cannot express how much relief i am in. I knew that with the new things coming in to place i had to get something that would last far beyond the term of our president. It is the ACA and my health department that i can thank for such a wonderful privilege (which by the way should be a right). If i did not have the opportunity to get my IUD for free, it would have costed around $900.

Many women around the country are getting these opportunities stripped from them. in the past 10 years the teen birth rate has dropped all thanks to easy access to birth control. Now old men in their giant offices who make more than my entire city are deciding what women get to do with their bodies. I cannot express how angry that makes me. I could honestly go on about it, but i do not have the time.

Do these people understand that to decrease teen pregnancies, women need contraceptives? We need the right to be able to choose what happens to our bodies and no one should have the right to take that away from us.
