Patrick

"Can you stop flirting with Andy for one second?" Pete asked Joe, exasperated. I giggled as Andy looked up from his book. "Yeah, I second that." Joe smirked. "Never." Pete sighed as Joe smiled triumphantly.
"So...why am I here?" I asked hesitantly, as Pete shoved Joe's arm and Andy turned a page in his book.

Pete looked at me. "Because you're way better than these fuckers and they wanted to come over to annoy me so I wanted to invite you to save me." Andy looked up from his book again. "That's rude, Pete." Pete flipped him off and I gasped as I grabbed his hand and pushed his finger down. "Pete, don't do that!" Joe squealed. "Aww, Patrick, you're so innocent!" I ignored him as Pete smiled, ruffling my hair with his free hand as I pouted.

"Cutie." I gasped. "I am not!" He raised his eyebrow and was about to protest when Andy shut his book with a loud thud. "You guys' cuteness is too distracting." Joe smirked. "Now you know how I feel when I'm with you-" Andy raised his hand. "Stop right there, Trohman."

I suddenly realized I was still holding onto Pete's hand and could feel my face turning pink as I suddenly let go of it. Andy was the only one who noticed it, however, and he raised an eyebrow at me but didn't say anything about it. "Joe, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to try harder if you want Andy to date you." Joe scoffed at Pete's words. "But I'm irresistible!" I snorted as Andy answered, "Think again."

Pete sat back and shook his head. "I had so much hope for you, Joe." Joe raised his eyebrows at Pete in an 'oh, really' kind of way as Pete sighed in mock disappointment. He wrapped an arm around my shoulders as I froze, eyes widening. "We could've raised you better." Joe squinted. "You're not married. You're not even dating."

My breath hitched as Pete responded, smirking at me, "Yet." Andy cut in. "Guys, stop. You're making Patrick uncomfortable." Joe sighed, then smiled dreamily at Andy. "Damnit, Andy, you're so nice." Andy's expression didn't change. "I know."
Pete just shrugged. I stayed quiet as they all talked more, then I heard Joe ask, "So, what do you guys want to do?" I heard Pete mumble something under his breath, then I heard Joe snort and I looked questioningly at them. "What?" Andy just smiled at me as Pete blurted out, "Nothing!" I gave him a questioning look, then stated, "We could watch a movie or something."

Andy nodded. "I'm fine with that." Joe nodded along in agreement. "Well, what are we going to watch then?" Andy asked, looking at all of us. Pete suddenly exclaimed, "Patrick likes Ghostbusters!" I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "But you don't like Ghostbusters." He just shrugged and gave me a smile as Joe said, "I'm fine with that movie." Andy agreed. "Same here."

"I'll put it in." Joe got up to put the movie in as Andy sat on one of the couches, and I sat on the other one. Pete got up and disappeared in the hallway for a few minutes. He returned with a few blankets, some of which he threw at Joe, who was now sitting on the couch right next to Andy, much to his annoyance.

Pete surprised me by plopping down right next to me, throwing a blanket over the both of us as Joe tried - and failed - to put his arm around Andy's shoulders on the other couch. Pete poked my side, and I moved over a bit to give him more room. We settled in and watched the movie, Andy finally allowing Joe to get a bit closer.

About an hour into the movie, I turned my head to glance at Pete, and I was surprised to see him already staring at me. I could see his face flush red as he turned quickly to look back at the television screen, and I furrowed my eyebrows, confused, before looking back at the screen as well.

I could feel myself growing more and more tired, and as I looked around the room, I saw that Joe and Andy were already asleep, and I almost chuckled when I saw Andy's head resting on Joe's shoulder. I could see that Pete was still wide awake and watching the movie, and I assumed he hadn't noticed the others were asleep.

My eyelids were growing heavy as I let out a yawn, and rested my head against Pete's shoulder without realizing, eventually letting my eyelids close and falling asleep. I could feel Pete looking at me as I fell asleep, but for once I was too tired to move away.

And for once, I didn't want to.
