Kanato Ending

READER'S POV

Once I got back to the Sakamaki Mansion, I headed back to my room and I held Oscar close to me. Once I got back to my room, I sat down on my bed and I looked at Oscar.

'I wonder if Kanato would like to keep Oscar, after all, he does love stuffed animals.'

Just then there was a knock on my door and I spoke up.

"Come in."

Speak of the devil, it was Kanato and he smiled at me.

"(Y/n)-sama, come to my room."

"OK."

I replied happily and I headed straight to Kanato's room with Oscar in my arms. Once I reached Kanato's room he opened the door for me and I looked around his room and just as how I expected it to be, a room filled with stuffed toys and it's like a children's room as well.

"Please take a seat anywhere you want."

"Thank you Kanato."

I sat down on his bed and then Kanato looked at Oscar.

"Who is that you've got with you?"

"It's Oscar, he once belonged to my little brother, I went back to the old house where I used to live and I found him covered in charcoal dust after the fire, to be honest, Oscar is the only thing I have left of Toby."

Kanato looked at me shocked and he then looked at Teddy.

"Ne Teddy, doesn't Oscar look a bit sad without his best friend? ...yes I think so."

"Can I ask what Teddy said to you?"

"He agrees that Oscar looks sad and he seems happy to be with you."

I smiled at this and I looked at Oscar.

"Do you Oscar? hmpf, I never thought this day would come when I get to talk to a stuffed teddy bear like an idiot, no offence Kanato."

"None taken, (Y/n)-sama, it's fine though, Toby was like us when he was alive right?"

I nodded my head and I decided to be in Kanato's and Toby's shoes for once.

"Hye Oscar, wouldn't you like to be best friends with Teddy? when you're lonely you can always talk to him when you're feeling down, I know his best friend is a bit odd in some ways but, that's a good thing though, he reminds me of Toby but, I don't see him as my little brother...."

I smiled when I looked back at Kanato and he had a bit of surprised look on his face. I looked back at Oscar and I continued.

"Kanato is different, you see, he may be bipolar but, I don't care about his mood swings and if does have one of his tantrums I'll be there to be calm him and I know you might think it's crazy for me to do so but, I love him, I really do."

I heard Kanato gasp in surprise and he then peered at my face with a smile on his face.

"Do you really mean it?!"

"Of course I do, truth be told, I did see you as Toby at first because the way how you talked and treated Teddy reminded me of how Toby used to treat and talked to Oscar but now, my feelings have changed."

Kanato sit both Teddy and Oscar to the side before he hugs me gently. I was surprised by this and then Kanato whispered in my ear.

"I love you too, (Y/n)."

I smiled at this and then Kanato gets behind me and he wraps his arms around me gently before resting his head on my shoulder.

"Remember (Y/n), you're my doll now, I won't ever let you go."

"I know, Kanato."

Kanato and I looked at each other's eyes before he kisses me on the lips gently.

Kanato may have the height of a child but, he's still my lover either way. I don't care about his bipolar side but, as long as I'm around he'll behave himself and I'll always love him forever, after all, he's my teddy bear now.
