holy fuck hi there. don't be too angry with me. here's the last chapter and maybe I'll write a new matty and george story if I'm feeling up to it.
It's on a Tuesday afternoon when Matty goes to see Gemma and doesn't get absolutely slashed but instead talks about his feelings. Gemma, on the other hand, does drink, and offers a lot of useless advice.
"George is so pretty," says Gemma. "Fucking- just go for it."
Matty sighs. "I think I'll go home now."
He walks twenty minutes home and considers crying on the way there before remembering he's in public. He's a bit sick of everyone nagging him about this George thing. It's making him quite tired.
When he gets to the flat, George isn't home. It's very quiet and dark. The curtains are pulled shut and Ross's candles are lit. It's giving him a headache.
Then on the table-
On the table there's a cake.
On it are about a dozen pink candles, lit. The candle itself is white and simple. Written on it, in pink frosting cursive, is I love you.
That's when Matty starts crying. He stands there with his hands over his face, peeking at this beautiful cake through his fingers.
He vaguely registers the door opening and closing behind him. Big, warm arms wrap around his shoulders, hands wrapping around his wrists to pull his hands off his face.
"I had help, so don't give me all the credit," George whispers in his ear. "The old lady across the hall, you know the one, she wears all that perfume and has twenty cats. Very sweet, she is."
"Fuck," Matty says. His voice is thick with tears and it's completely embarrassing. "Fuck you."
"I'm in love with you," George says softly. "I love you so much."
Matty can't help his sob. George squeezes him. "George."
"I love you."
"Fuck, I've been- I thought-"
George kisses under Marty's ear. "Ross finally convinced me to get off my arse and tell you my feelings."
"Funny, Gemma's been telling me to do the same thing." Marty's voice is shaky and stupid and he kind of wants to disappear but it suddenly hits him that George loves him.
He whirls around so fast that George makes a surprised noise when Matty kisses him.
"I love you," Matty gasps into his mouth. "I've fucking loved you for so long."
George sticks his tongue in his mouth and they don't talk for a while.

"Gemma will be so pleased," says Matty, licking frosting off George's fingers in between sentences.
George grins. "I bet."
Matty kisses the tips of George's fingers, sighing when George cups his cheek and kisses his forehead. "Nothing's really different, is it?"
"Of course it is. I don't have to share you anymore."
Matty leans up to kiss him. "No, you don't. I guess I love you has a different meaning too."
George strokes his face. "I've always meant it in a romantic way."
Matty feels as if he might cry again. "I love you."
"I love you too."
Matty kisses him, kisses him again, and mumbles, "I suppose I should call Gemma."
"I'm not done with you yet," George says, kissing under Marty's jaw. "She can wait another couple hours or so."
"Hours? That's how long this'll take?"
George's hands stroke down Matty's back, cupping and squeezing his ass. He grins at Matty's squeak. "Of course."
Matty smiles. "Fine by me." And kisses George again.
wow the end. I'm sorry for making you guys wait so long. this is a terrible ending, very badly written, but I hope you guys enjoyed it
