Soulmates?

Mitch's POV:
I listened carefully as Sky and Ty told us about the soulmate system. Basically, here's how it goes: For this new generation, all children will get this thing called a soulmate watch, which intentionally, is supposed to count down the days, hours, and minutes until you meet your soulmate. You meet them at 16, wether it's on your 16th birthday or on the day before your 17th, you'll meet them. When you do meet your soulmate, your watch blinks rapidly until you kiss your soulmate.(end of explanation)Now that that's out of the way, I noticed that when we opened the door to their house, that Skylar's watch was blinking rapidly. Weird, because it's not anymore. And because she's only almost two. Oh I forgot! We have to plan for their birthdays tomorrow! "Hey guys? What are we going to do for Skylar's 2nd and Betty's 1st tomorrow?" Adam and Ty just looked at each other, smirked, then shrugged their shoulders turning back to us. I looked at Jerome, really confused, but he looked just as confused as me. Adam then spoke up," Well I was thinking we could just have Skylar and Betty have a play date. Sound good to you two?" "Well Betty gets her soulmate watch tomorrow so... I kind of wanted it to be special." Jerome said a little disappointed. "We did to for Skylar's 1st but we figured that she should just have alone time for that to settle in, then we just relaxed and watched Beauty and the Beast the rest of the day." Ty finished explaining. I sighed, looking at Jerome for his input, but he was biting his lip and looking directly at me for mine. "That would be fine with me..." Jerome said finally. We haven't heard from Betty in a while and that was different for us, she usually is crying or whining by now. Jerome went upstairs to go get her and while no one was looking, I finally got a good look at Jerome's butt. Damn, he had a nice one. Sorry off topic. He came back down with Betty and her bright blue eyes sparkled when she saw Skylar, and Skylar's watch started going crazy from the couch. Could they....be soulmates?
