Jerome's POV:

I smiled proudly at how well I had shocked him. Plus it was cute to see him act so scared when I was missing. He really was amazing though. To think that although he had amnesia, he took all the information that I gave him so well.

And now, as I hold my husband's hand as the sun sets behind us, I couldn't be happier. We've been through tough times from the moment we first started dating, and yet we've come so far. How could anyone be happier?

"Hey Jerome?" A Canadian accent shook me out of my thoughts,"Yeah?" "I love you" I leaned over and kissed him softly, knowing how much he really meant it. "C'mon, we better get home before my mom goes crazy with Betty." He laughed but nonetheless followed me to the car. "Thank you by the way." I looked at him with confusion,"What do you mean?" "I mean, how you helped me remember who I am and not abandoning me just because I didn't remember you at first." "Mitch-" I paused to look at the expression on his face. There were tears forming in his eyes.

"Listen to me, you are the best thing that's ever happened in my life. I still remember when we met in 6th grade. You were that kid that always corrected the teacher and made sarcastic comments after everything she said. I remember when we first started our Minecraft channels, how your's got just a little more subscribers than mine did everyday. How happy you were when I told you I was bi, and so much more. Mitchell Donald Ralph Aceti I love you more than words can explain and I'm so happy you came into my life. I love you more than life itself and I don't care what I have to do to prove it. But I'll do it, all for you."

After that, we got in the car and drove to our beloved house that was probably destroyed by the tornado that is my mother. Oh god, I better brace myself. I opened the red door and was pleasantly surprised when I got tackled by a long, brown-haired girl that was about as tall as my chin. "Thank god you're here! I was about to suffocate in grandma's stories!" I chuckled as she let go and went behind me to hug Mitch. "Daddy! I'm so glad you're back! I missed you both so much." She let go of Mitch and went to the kitchen to get her smoothie. Yep, she was defiantly Mitch's child.

Then, my mother came to greet me at the door before we could even get inside the house. "Ciao! Sei tornato! Come è andata? Ha detto di sì? Posso vedere l'anello?" (Hi! You're back! How'd it go? Did he say yes? Can I see the ring?) "Mamma, calmati. Cosa pensi ha detto? Usa il tuo cervello a volte." (Mom, calm down. What do you think he said? Use your brain sometimes.) She gave me a 'Don't sass me or I'll beat you' look and I shut up. Mitch looked at me with confusion once again and I just responded with,"I have got to teach you Italian." I pointed at his ring and he finally understood and showed my mom. She gasped and said,"Mio dio Jerome! Quanto avete speso per questo?!" (My god Jerome! How much did you spend on that?!)

I just laughed and went to sit on the couch to tell her and Betty the whole story when I noticed something in the corner in the kitchen. Betty and Skylar were making out. With a loud coughing sound from Mitch, they pulled apart and both blushed furiously. "Sorry dad, we got carried away." She then proceeded to grab her hand and lead her to the couch where my mom was.

"Okay so, it all started at the beach..." And I explained the whole thing to them, ultimately leaving them with their hands covering their mouths to keep from showing their huge smiles. Betty was the first to speak up,"Aww! That's so cute! Was there food?" Yep, still Mitch's daughter. Then Mitch had a turn to speak,"Nope. But on the way home Jerome gave me a lecture on how much he loved me." He smirked cheekily while nudging me on the shoulder. "Yes, yes, all true, but hey, at least I'm a good husband, right?" "Yep." He kissed me on the cheek then turned back to the family.

"Well, I'm getting tired. Wanna come biggums?" Mitch proclaimed as he stood up from the couch. It was about 12:30, a reasonable time to be tired of course, but I just wasn't. "Um, I'm really not tired but I'll be up there in a few, okay?" He nodded and began walking upstairs. As soon as I knew he was gone, I whispered to my mom and Betty,"Okay, ho intenzione di bisogno del tuo aiuto con qualcosa." (Okay, so I'm going to need your help with something.) They leaned in closer to hear what I had in mind. "Voglio dare Mitch un regalo, che mostra quanto io realmente lo apprezzo." (I want to give Mitch a gift, showing how much I actually appreciate him.) I explained my idea, then got to work.
