Xander's POV

The next few months flew by as the two of us spend time together, the packs watching out for my former lover. It was nearing Halloween as the red, orange, and yellow colors appear everywhere, the town given a cheerful vibe. Currently, I was watching Serah drawing, something I've come to know about her lately, on the bed. Feeling a sneeze come on, I hold still as she draws me, nodding every once and a while before she's done. I go to get up, but her body on top of mine stalls myself, her sketchbook forgotten as she gives me a seductive smile.

"Love, are you al-" Lips press on my before I can finish the question, forgetting it instantly as it came. She licks my bottom lip for entrance as I nip her own, slithering my own tongue in. A hand presses against my lower half as the other holds my neck, lips glued to another. The grind to my lower half makes a groan escapes my lips, the heated kisses pressing against my neck. I thrust up as she goes down, the moan eliciting from her lips seductively. My eyes widen as her sweet scent hits me, the arousal making me excited. I hold her close as I whisper into her ear, hands grabbing her behind and grinding her forward against my own lower half.

"You're in heat love. The school will be informed by this morning of our absence." She looks up at me with narrowed eyes before smiling, taking over as her hands and mouth do all the talking. The sound of flesh hitting flesh fills the room as Serah's moans grow louder, our breathing more raspy. The tightness surrounding my hard on and her powering scent washing over me, brings movement to my hips more. The gasp being concealed as I kiss her, moving a hand down to her hip and holding her hands above her. "You'll be the death of me love, but you're worth everything."

"X! I can't move a muscle because of you. Help me!" I give a smirk to my adorable mate, kissing her as she automatically tries to deepen it. Pulled back, I nuzzle her in apology, her doing the same after a moment.

"You wanted it love, I just gave you what you desired. Don't tell me you regret it?" The devilish gleam in my eyes speaks for itself as she blushes, stuttering and shaking her head in protest. I take hold of her hand and give a gentle kiss to her knuckles, kneeling. "I will be out for a few hours, but I will hurry back to you as soon as it's over love. We have a trail of his scent and my pack is going to follow behind me as I end this game once and for all." Ignoring her protests, I give her a lasting, loving kiss. "Several of my strongest pack members are going to guard the apartment, because I won't lose you love. You're the best thing that has happened to me. I love you and I will be back or you can haunt my ass in exchange." The smile I get is contagious as I do the same back, holding her for a little while longer. The heat washing over me makes me want to protect her, my light, my mate. I leave with another kiss, giving her a gentle smile as the door closes.

"Alpha, are you sure?" I turn to look at Toby, nodding in confirmation as we head out to...our place in silence. Mac and Toby don't say much except the occasional statement along the lines of 'He better not pray for mercy' or 'He's already dead since he hurt you' echoing in the morning streets as we near my old house. I give a hum of acknowledgment as we stop at the entrance, nervous, but alert.

"Are you ready for this Alpha?" I don't hesitate to open the door, already knowing where he would be; my room. The house looks the same as it was when I was alone. Abandoned and cold. The stairs creak under my weight as I wince, continuing up the stairs and avoiding the broken, littered beer bottles. The old faded black door is in front of me soon enough, the bathroom and closet down the vacant hall. The rancid smell hitting my nose as I enter the room, seeing the last person I never wanted to lay eyes upon. Victor stands there with a smirk on his face, blue eyes glistening with triumphant. I shut the door on the two betas, giving a nod to them as their put out of view.
