Aftershock

Jess

The door is now all the way open. I see Jess in the corner. See is propped up so she can see the TV. She sees us enter and immediately perks up.
"Bella!! You came!!" she says.
"Why wouldn't we?" I say. Renesmee is hiding behind my legs. I notice that Edward still has his arm around my waist.
"Renesmee come meet Jess" I say as I grab her hand. She comes around so Jess can finally see her.
"She looks just like you Bella."
"Really?! Everyone says that. I think she looks more like Edward than me." I reply.
"Hi Jess" Edward says.
"Hey Edward" she replies. "How have you guys been?"
"Busy" Edward and I say at the same time.
"You guys can sit down" she says. We find chairs and sit down.

We left about two hours later. Renesmee fell asleep in my lap but I ask Edward to carry her because I wanted to give Jess a hug. We get home in under five minutes like usual. There is really nothing to do besides watch Renesmee sleep. I breath with her breaths and I listen to the sound of her heart beat. I notice that Edward is sitting on the bed next to me. He gently kisses me and I kiss him back.
We watch as Renesmee falls asleep and listen to the soothing sounds of her breathing.
