Alone again

As his car drove off she looked out the window with her phone in her hand. She looked down deciding she would make a call. She wiped the tears off her face as she started to dial Alec's number. She sat on the bed taking deep breaths, hoping that Alec wouldn't react the same way Lau did. She kept thinking of his words. They cut into her mind, they ripped her self confidence apart. She thought that Lau may actually be right. She really didn't know whose baby was in her stomach. This thought started eating away at her. If it's Lau's , would they be able to get past all the words that were thrown at each other?, and if it's Alec's would she be able to get past all the feelings she has for Lau ? She's been with Lau for years. She couldn't help but admit it, she really did want it to be his. She couldn't imagine having a child with anyone other than him. She hoped and prayed that Lau didn't think she was serious when she said she wanted it to be Alec's. She hoped he knew it was just all out of anger. While she was thinking Alec answered the phone. "Hello? Jessica?" she took a deep breathe before she spoke. "Hey Alec." he answered with a concerned voice after hearing her in distress. " What's wrong? What's going on?" Jessica didn't want to sugar coat it anymore. She tried sugar coating it with Lau and look where that got her, so she flat out said the truth. "Alec listen... I'm pregnant and I don't know if its yours or Lau's." There was no hesitation in his response. He spoke sharply, meaning every word he said. "What the fuck!! Jess listen... that's not my baby. I had sex with you one time. I'm trying to get my money straight and live my life. I'm sorry...I just can't do this." Her heart fell. Her head felt heavy. She wanted to cry but she had no more tears left to shed. "What about all the stuff you said? You said you loved me and that you would never treat me like Lau did. You said you would treat me better!" She could barely breathe. Her hands were shaking and her body was hot. "I'm sorry Jess, but I can't!" He hung up the phone right before she could respond. She tried calling him back but he wouldn't pick up. Yet again Jess was left by herself hurt and angry. At this point that was the only thing she could count on to come back. She was hurting worse than she's ever hurt before. Both of her possible baby daddies didn't want to claim her baby, and wanted it to be the others. She felt like either way this wasn't going to end well. She couldn't cry. She couldn't call Alec or Lau. She had no love. She had nobody. It was just her and her baby. She kept thinking about all the possible ways this could go. She thought about the way both of them responded showing their true colors, but her thoughts were soon interrupted when someone knocked on the front door...
