Can't hide from the truth

Lau was still holding on to Jess as he wiped the tears from his face. He was crying tears of joy. He started to think about that night months ago when he saw Jess sitting on the bed. He remembered how she made him feel. He remembered that at that moment he wanted so badly to have a family with her. He wanted to be a dad...and it was finally happening! He lifted his head off hers, pulling her away from him. He looked into her eyes. He was screaming inside. He was excited. He was finally going to be a dad!!He could only imagine Larry's reaction when he finds out he's going to be an uncle. He took the test out her hand throwing it in the trash next to the shower. He saw many other test in there with the same results. He looked at the trash and back at Jess. "Why did you take so many?" he said concerned. She finally uncovered her face. It was red and wet. "I.... didn't I....couldn't believe it at first." she looked at the trash and back at Lau with pain in her eyes. "Well that doesn't matter right now." He said grabbing her hand and giving her a towel. "You clean yourself up first, then I will after you, and we'll just talk about this afterwards okay?" He said looking at her speaking with a sincere voice. She agreed grabbing the towel and hopping into the shower. Lau waited for 20 minutes, until she was done. When she opened the door, her hair was wet and her towel was wrapped around her body. Lau looked at her kissed her on her forehead and went in. As he took his shower he started to think. "Why was she crying so much? She's the one who wanted to have a family so bad! If anything she should've been crying tears or joy! but... those weren't tears of joy at all. Those were tears from pain and agony. I'll ask her when I get out." He got out the shower wrapping the towel around his waist. He looked into the mirror, seeing something that he wanted to see. He saw a man that was going to be the father to Jess' child. He saw a father that would take good care of his family. He saw everything he's been trying to build with Jess all coming together. He threw his twist into a ponytail walking out the bathroom. He opened the door seeing Jess was already dressed and sitting on the bed. Her face still looked the same. Hurt and in pain. As he put his clothes on he decided to ask her the questions that were stuck in his mind. "Baby can I ask you something..." he said halfway into a tshirt. "I mean I guess" Jess looked away as she spoke. She looked out the window trying to hold the tears in. " Why were you crying so much?....Didn't you want to have a baby with me?" He was fully clothed and sat down next to her, looking out the window trying to see what she was looking at. Jess took a deep breath. As she did she turned and faced Lau. She grabbed his hand with both of hers and looked him in the eyes. " Baby... you know I love you with everything inside of me..." She paused feeling her eyes losing their strength to hold the tears back. "... I wouldn't want to do anything to hurt you on purpose, but I just can't ignore, or run from the truth..." Lau turned his body towards her holding her hand even tighter as he spoke. "What do you mean the truth?" She looked out the window taking a second to breathe and looked back at Lau. " I can't hide from the truth and neither can you... the reason I was so upset is because I want to have a baby with you." Lau was completely confused at this point. "What do you mean Jess? That makes no sense." She looked down as she spoke, she didn't want to see his face after what she was going to say. " Baby... it might... it might not be yours." It was like Lau's whole body shut down. He didn't speak. He didn't say a word. He let go of her hand and stood up from the bed. He looked out the window feeling the anger building up inside of him. " Please forgive me Lau... It wasn't right...I know... I could've prevented it from happening but I was just...confused" She was crying almost as hard as she was in the bathroom, but this time Lau wasn't going to comfort her. He stood in front her his mouth was tight. His jaw was sharp and filled with anger. " Okay... since we're not ignoring, or running, or fucking hiding from the truth, let me tell you something!! Don't feel bad!...don't pity your fucking self because I was out too..." He opened his arms letting all his anger out. He towered over her and with every word he said the more her pain turned to anger. " I was out too, just like you. I fucked a bitch or two, so what! but then I started to feel something... I felt like there was no one out there that could be a better woman than you! but I was obviously wrong....because your no better than me!!" Jess was shook. She stood up right back in his face. " I am nothing like you Lau!! You'd rather be out there fucking some hoe! At least I felt bad afterwards, your the one sitting here acting like you won a damn trophy!!" Lau was getting angrier every word she said. He felt like he was going to say something that he didn't want to, but it was already too late he already said it. " You got the nerve to call someone a hoe?! Your the one who doesn't know whose baby is in your god damn stomach!" Jess was shocked. She could never imagine Lau saying something like that to her. He was always so kind and loving. This was a side she never saw before and she never wanted to see. She was mad at herself, but instead she took it out on him. " Well fuck you then!! I hope this isn't your baby!... Alec was right you are just a piece of shit!" Lau didn't say anything, he just walked over to the dresser snatched his keys and his phone. He looked back at her with a look of hatred. She turned away from him looking out the window. As he left the room he turned around and spoke in a low voice. " I hope its not my baby either. Have fun with whoever the fuck Alec is." He walked down the hall, down the stairs and out the door. As Jess heard the engine of his car start all she could do was cry and curse at herself. As his car drove off she looked out the window with her phone in her hand. She looked down deciding she would make a call. She wiped the tears off her face as she started to dial Alec's number...

Where did Lau go?? What is Alec going to say?? Who's the baby daddy??🤔
