Aquarius's POV

"So when will we know the gender?"

"We should be able to learn about that in the next appointment," the doctor responded.

She guided us back into her room. Libra handed me her bag and sat down in the patient chair. I took a seat in the extra chair in the room.

"So, how has the pregnancy been going so far?"

"Pretty normal. Morning sickness and leaking breast milk through my shirts."

Libra and the doctor laughed over the joke as I sat awkwardly in the corner.

"Do you two live together?"

"We share a small apartment together."

"Okay. Are you planning on breastfeeding?"

"Yes. We already bought a breast pump."

"That's good. Any bleeding?"

"No ma'am."

"Alrighty. And how old are you two?"

"I'm seventeen and he's eighteen."

"Are you both in high school?"

"No," I spoke up. "I just graduated this year. She'll be finishing up her senior year starting in fall."

"Okay. That's good. I've had twelve year olds in your positions right now."

"Really?" She nodded in response, before reaching in her drawer for a jar.

"I'm going to need you to pull up your shirt past your belly." Libra follow her instructions to show the baby bump that's been forming since February. "This is going to be kinda cold," she warned. She then slathered clear gel across the bump.

"Can you explain what's going on?" I asked her. I was confused. Our past baby update appointments didn't include this gel.

"So I'm going to try to look at the baby today. I want to make sure that the baby healthy. I may be able to tell the gender, but I won't know until I look." I nodded in understanding. "This gel that I'm using is a conductive medium that enables a tight bond between the skin and the probe or transducer, letting the waves transmit directly to the tissues beneath and to the parts that need to be imaged. It acts as a coupling agent and reduces static. Basically today I'm going to perform an ultrasound."

"Okay."

She took out some kind of scanner and moved it around the belly. The images showed on the screen in black and white.

"Here's your beautiful baby."

"Where?" I squinted at the random abstract lines attempting to decipher a baby.

"Right here." Her finger traced out a small potato-like shape.

"Can you tell if it's a boy or a girl?"

"Not yet, but I'll tell you guys as soon I can tell."

Sagittarius's POV

"Jason! Stop running around without your diaper!"

I attempted to grab the half-naked toddler running around the house.

"Sag! I'm hungry." I looked up to see Achilles laying across the kitchen counter.

"Fix yourself something to eat."

"I don't know how to cook."

"God lord. If you think you're mature enough to understand the purpose of life, you can fix a bowl of cereal. Ever since you found Panic! At the Disco you've never been the same."
