Chapter 6 ~I Do Care

Quincy's POV

Everything that happened yesterday was hard but I still went to school with a smile on my face -even though it was fake-. I was a little surprised when I didn't see Evan anywhere I was hoping to see him so I can admire him from afar. Even though I rejected him it doesn't mean I wanted to I did it because I know he wanted to.

It was lunch and I was looking for Maggie so I can ask where Evan was my searching was interrupted by Justin. "Sup hot stuff. What are you doing sitting all by yourself" he asked.

I felt highly annoyed by his presence but I don't want to be rude "I was looking for someone" I said going back to my searching.

"Well you could stop looking because I'm here" he smirked. My shoulders slumped a bit 'I never said I was looking for him' I thought as I stared at him.

"I wasn't looking for you" I voiced my thoughts.

He scooted closer to me and leaned down to my ear "That's a sexy outfit were you trying to impress me" he whispered huskily.

I shivered when his warm breath hit my neck "No" I pushed him off "I wore this because I wanted to not because I wanted to catch attention" I hissed.

"Whatever you say, babe" he smirked.

Just then I spotted Maggie leaving the lunch room with a boy "I gotta go" I said as I stood up and grabbed my stuff.

I ran after her and caught up after a few minutes "Maggie" I called.

She stopped and turned around she smiled while the boy glared "Hey Quincy" she greeted. She elbowed the boy "This is Donovan our Gamma" she said.

I glanced at him 'Why is he glaring' I thought "Where's Evan" I asked.

This Donovan guy scoffed "Wouldn't you like to know" he snapped.

I felt myself get angry "I would that's why I asked" I snapped back.

He got in my face and Maggie just watched "Your people made him bed ridden" he growled.

I shoved him with way to much force then I thought and he fell flat on his ass "Sorry" I said quickly before clearing my throat "What does he mean" I asked Maggie.

She looked amused probably because the guy was bigger and older than me and I just knocked him down without trying. "He was attacked last night" she explained "By vampires from your clan" she looked down.

I felt my heart stop "Is he okay" I asked.

She shrugged "I wasn't able to see him. But last I heard he was put into an induced coma since there was to much wolfs bane in his system" she explained.

I got anxious suddenly "Can I see him later today" I asked while biting my lip. I know I rejected him but I care about him as a....friend.

She shrugged "Only if you give me a ride home" she bargained.

"Deal" I said.

She nodded as the bell rang "See you later" she said while walking off with the boy.

"He's weak so please be gentle" Alpha Axel said.

When I arrived here both he and his husband looked surprised but they invited me in. I walked into Evan's room and admire his sleeping face the door closed behind me and I figured Alpha Axel left. I walked up to his bed and sat on the chair next to it "They didn't tell me whether or not you were still in coma" I whispered.

"I'm not" he responded making me jump out of my skin.

"Don't scare me like that" I hissed he opened his eyes and cracked a tiny smile. "I heard what happened how are you feeling" I asked.

"Weak and tired they had to pump my stomach and do all this other shit" he said.

"Can you explain how your attackers looked" I interrogated.

He rolled his eyes "Don't bother your father came earlier and interrogated me" he explained.

I nodded "He'll deal with them but I also want my revenge on them" I said.

He gave me a smile but his eyes looked pained "Stop acting like you care" he mumbled "It's giving me false hope" I don't think he wanted me to hear the last part but since my hearing is excellent I did.

"But I do care" I persisted "They hurt my belov-my friend and they need to pay" my fist clenched.

He rolled his eyes "Whatever" he cleared his throat "Can you get me my water it's behind you" I nodded and stood up but as I stood my tights got caught on the chair and ripped.

I gasped "These were my favorite" I growled.

"Just take them off" I heard him say.

"What" I turned towards him.

"You are wearing a skirt so it doesn't matter if you take your tights off" he explained.

I sighed but nodded and took off my shoes before pulling my tights down. I forgot I was wearing a skirt so I bent down and probably flashed Evan my underwear. I stood back up quickly and blushed "Sorry" I squeaked.

He blushed "I didn't know you liked wearing panties" he teased.

I blushed even more "Well I can't really wear boxers or boxer briefs they would feel weird when I wear skirts or whatever" I say while fidgeting with my tights that were now in my hands. "And I just like them" I shrug.

He nodded my phone decided to ring I looked at the i.d. and decided to answer or decline. After a moment I declined "What song was that" he asked.

I looked up "What" I asked.

"Your ringtone what song was that" he asked again.

"It was Bubblegum Bitch by Marina and the Diamonds" I said.

"Who" he had the most adorable confused face and I struggled not to kiss him.

"How do you not know Marina" I gasped "Get ready because I'm going to introduce you to Marina and the Diamonds" he sits up and without thinking I crawl onto him and sit on his lap.

He blushed and looked away "I could scoot over if you want" he asked.

I shook my head "I'm good" I answered. I'm probably never going to be able to be this close to him again so I'm taking advantage of this situation.
