"Oh shoot." Hermione said as she looked at her clock.

For the first time in her life she had overslept. Class started in less than an hour and she still hadn't gotten dressed, eaten breakfast, or done her Prefect rounds.

Hermione quickly got dressed, brushed her teeth, washed her face and ran a comb through her hair before filling her satchel with that days worth of books. As she headed to the common room she saw two golden pins lying on a desk. One said 'Head Boy' the other said 'Head Girl.' Laying next to the pins was a parchment that explained her and Malfoy's duties for that day. She looked back at the pin that said 'Head Boy' and frowned.

"Malfoy!" Hermione yelled in the direction of his bedroom.

There was no response.

"Malfoy! C'mon we have to do our rounds." When there was no response Hermione walked over to his bedroom. The door was ajar enabling her to peek through but, no one was in there.

Hermione sighed with frustration.

Now she was going to have to miss breakfast to find Malfoy and make him do rounds. She grabbed her pin and carefully attached it to her robes, then she stuck the parchment along with the 'Head Boy' pin in her already over flowing satchel and headed out the door.

---

"Draco Malfoy!"

Hermione said in a disapproving tone and Draco wheeled around the corridor he was walking down. The messy haired brunette looked frazzled and angry. She blew a piece of hair out of her eyes before returning her gaze to him as she frowned.

"Where do you think you're going?" Hermione crossed her arms over her chest.

"That's none of you're business mudblood." Draco said.

"Well actually it is my business." Hermione walked right up to him and stuck her pointer finger on his chest. "If your high and mighty self hasn't already forgotten, you're Head Boy, which means you have responsibilitys."

Hermione stepped back and dug around in her bag for a moment. She then pulled out a parchment.

"This," she said handing him the parchment. "is todays morning to do's. We have to complete the tasks them before we get to class."

Draco skimmed the checklist and groaned. Obviously no one had told him the job came with a list of To-Do's.

"All right well have fun with this Granger." Draco smiled, handed the parchment back and started to walk away.

"Oh no you don't," said Hermione walking after him. "as much as I hate this the rules say we have to do this together and rules are rules."

"Rules are made to be broken." Draco smirked.

"They are so not. You aren't going to push all this on me. Either you help or I'm telling McGonagall, and you'll get detention for a month."

Draco turned around and looked at Hermione.

"You can't get detention as a prefect." Draco retorted glaring.

"How thick are you? Of COURSE you can get detention as a prefect, that's just a stupid myth students made up years ago." Hermione rolled her eyes. "If you would have read the prefect handbook you'd know this."

Draco just glared at her. Then he glanced down at her body and Hermione turned a deep shade of red. She then crossed her arms and scowled at him.

"You couldn't at least to subtle." Hermione shook her head.

Draco looked back up at her and scoffed. "I wasn't looking at you're chest Granger." Draco muttered. He stepped closer to her and his hands when to her arms. He pulled her arms away from her chest. He then lifted the tie on her neck.
