A moment passes as her father recognizes her.

"Amanda?" Her father says, much calmer this time. "Do you have any idea what time it is?"

"No, not really.." She said quietly.

"It's two in the morning, and I have to work in the morning. I told you I don't care if you go to parties but fuck, shut up when you come home."

"I'm sorry, dad, we'll keep quiet, do you mind if these two stay for the night?" She asked him politely and motioning towards us.

"I don't care, just shush," he said with a roll of his eyes. He vioilently turned the light off and went back to bed.

"Sorry, he really enjoys his sleep." Amanda said in a whisper. "Aaron, you can take the floor, me and Lyndsey will sleep on the bed."

"I get the floor?" He asked. "Fuck that." His words were still slurred.

"Uh, it's my house."

"Yeah, but I didn't get laid yet so me and Lyndsey get the bed."

"Wait, when did I agree to frick-" I started to say but Amanda cut me off with:

"Sex isn't going to happen on my bed. You get the floor, fuckboy." She said.

"Lyndsey, let's go," Aaron said grabbing my wrist and pulling me to the staircase.

"Wait, the fuck, no, I don't want to have sex with you. This was not in the plan for tonight." I said yanking my arm away.

"Why else would I have asked you out tonight?" He said with a half laugh and I just stood there with my jaw open.

"Aaron..." Amanda said quietyly but he completely ignored her.

"Babe, you're nothing but a nice pair of tits," he said simply.

"Thanks," I answer sarcastically.

"Welcome, sweetie," He cooed.

"That wasn't serious, you asshole. Bye, I'm leaving." I said to him and I walked downstairs. I was completely sober now so if cops tried to talk to me I couldn't be accused of anything.

I don't know what happened after I walked out Amanda's front door, I just know that it was hot as fuck outside and my hair was way too thick for the weather and one of my good friends turned out to be an asshat and my night turned to complete shit. Instead of crying, I found myself laughing. I can't believe it. The first boy to give any attention to me was just in it to get laid. I shake my head and make my way out of the neighborhood and I realise I have no clue where I'm at and it would take forever to get home by walking and I had no money on me. I left my wallet at home.

I take my phone out and dial Becky up but no answer. Of course, it's 2 in the morning. She wouldn't answer, she loves her sleep. I sit down on the curb and let the night's occurences sink in and that's when I started crying. Okay, so maybe, I'm still a bit drunk because I had the courage to call Ashton up. He answered on the first dial.

"Lyndsey!" He answered.

"H-hi," I croaked.

"Lyndsey?" He questioned. "Are you okay?"

"No," I said with a nervous laugh.

"What's wrong? Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

"I don't know where I am, I'm in the middle of no where and just went on the worst date of my life and I'm kind of drunk and I'm rambling."

"You were on a date?" He asked slightly agressively. Ashton are you jealous??

"Yes, I go on those sometimes." Never.

"That's not important, what do you mean you don't know where you are?" He asked and I heard someone ask in the backgrouond where he was going and I heard shuffling in the background. I heard a key noise and a car startng.

"Ash, you don't have to come get me," I say automatically even though it would be nice if he did.

"I am, you're drunk and unsafe. I'm gonna hang up now and I want you to go onto your GPS and send me your location, okay? Do this and you will be okay. I'll take you back to my place and you can sleep in my bed and I'll sleep on the floor."

"Your place? This is Florida," I said.

"Yeah, I'm renting an apartment for the summer here. That's not important. Just do what I said." He hung up.

I did exactly what he said and he texted back with a "i'll be there in a few :D" and to be honest, he was.

He was to me in less than 20 minutes. I watched as he pulled off to the side of the semi-highway road and turn the car off. I was sitting in the grassy area away from the road and he came to sit next to me.

"Hey," he said with a small smile.

"Hi," I said back.

"Are you gonna tell me what happened?" He asked.

"I don't really want to talk about it. I just want to go into a bed and sleep." I said even though I really did want to talk about it but I just didn't know qutie what I was feeling.

"Okay, come on," he said standing up and offering his hand. I took it and he pulled me up but before we walked to the car he pulled me into a hug. "You're wonderful, Lyndsey. Don't you forget that." He said as he hugged me tighter.

"Okay," I said.
