"Don't wait up for me!" I shout leaving the house. It's Friday night and I'm dressed for my date with Aaron. He wanted to take me to a movie so I dressed casually. I'm dressed in a maroon collared button up that is quarter length sleeved with black jeans and a pair of all keds. My hair's down and I put ob very little makeup. I grab my bag from the rack and walk to Aaron's small, black car.
"You ready to watch the best action movie on the planet?" He asks as I enter the car.
"Sure," I say. I'm kind of disapponited we aren't seeing something better but oh well.
He starts the car and it takes 15 minutes to get to the theatre.
We get in line and when we get to the tickets but only to find out it's sold out.
"Are you serious? I had tickets reserved!" He says to the lady behind the window.
"I'm sorry, sir, but it wasn't on file. You'll have to choose another movie or step out of line," She replies calmly despite his bitter attitude. "We have plently of other movies to choose from."
Aaron looks at me and raises a brow.
"What do you say? A different movie?" He asks and I nod. "You can pick," he says pointing at the list of movies and show times. I end up picking out You're Next. I know it's old but our theatre plays movies from a while back sometimes. I've never seen it, either.
He buys our tickets and I offer to buy the popcorn and he puts up a fair fight but I refuse to let this date be one of inequality. I buy us a large popcorn and two drinks and myself some snowcaps because they are hella amazing.
We pick a good seat in the back so we weren't bothered by so many people.
"I heard this movie sucks to be honest," I tell him.
"Really? Why did you pick it?" He asks.
"To find out for myself," I reply simply as I popped a popcorn in my mouth and hand him the bag.
He takes the bag and sets it in his lap as the lights begin to dim.
We talk through the trailers and get a lot of stink eyes but when the movie begins we grow silent.
"Oh hello," I whisper in suprise and Aaron chuckles next to me. What a way to start a movie: with sex.
The scene passed with much awkward tension between me and Aaron but now the chick is just walking around with just a shirt and underwear in front if a giant window. Ya fucking dumb?
The movie carries on in this mammer and after 15 minutes Aaron taps me on the arm and I look over.
"You wanna leave? I can't stand this movie," he says with a laugh.
"Yes," I almost shout. This movie blows.
We grab our stuff and sneak out if the theatre and realise it's barely 7:30.
"What do we do now? Plan A sucked," I ask with a laugh.
"Well, the night is young and you still look amazing," he says. "I know of a few things we could do." He says extending his hand towards me and I hesitate but take it anyway.
"Like what?" I ask as we walk to his car.
"There's a few parties I know of, how about that, hm?" He asks. A party? Seriously?
"Uh.." Should I say yes? I wasn't a fan of parties and I was already pushing it with one tomorrow.
"Come on! Free alcohol, maybe we'll get lucky and someone brought pot! I won't leave your side the entire time, I promise," He says as we approach the car and leans against the door and tugs me toward him. He places a strand of hair behind my ear and it should feel nice and warming, but it doesn't. "What do you say?" He asks.
