It was still the same night as the brutal fight with the Beast at the high school earlier night.

The same night that we had found out that the Beast was Mason Hewitt, of all people in Beacon Hills.

But instead of letting me help find Mason before the Dread Doctors did, Scott, Malia, Stiles and Braedan made me go home because of how badly hurt I was from fighting the Beast for hours on end tonight. They took me the loft.

Scott made me lay down in my room on the bed. "Hey."

"We gotta find them," I told him.

"I know," Scott told me. "Everybody's looking. We'll figure it out. Right now, you're not going anywhere until you heal. Okay?"

I sighed, giving in, nodding, because I knew that I wasn't going to be able to fight that well until I did heal and get my strength back. Scott kissed me slowly and sweetly to take away my pain. Black veins left my lips and trailed into his. I started to calm down more now that I wasn't in so much pain, able to start healing because of it. We looked at each other, smiling small smiles.

Malia stood in the doorway to make sure that I was okay. I nodded to her in answer. Malia nodded, closing the door to give us some time alone.

We could hear Malia, Stiles and Braedan talking in the hallway.

"What?" Stiles asked. "What? What did I do?"

"Tell him," Braedan told her.

"You know how my mother wants to kill me and Tara?" Malia asked. "I think she might want to kill you, too."

"Okay, uh, that's disconcerting," Stiles told them. "I should probably have a gun."

"I'm not giving you a gun," Braedan told him.

"You have a gun," Stiles told her. "The Desert Wolf, who is trying to kill me, has a gun. I think I should probably have a gun." We heard something fumble and drop. "I probably shouldn't have a gun."

I woke up in the morning after having fallen asleep, hearing the pack downstairs talking while I was getting dressed in clean clothes.

"My dad's got an APB out," Stiles told them.

"For a 5'8" 16-year-old?" Kira asked.

"I recommended nine-foot tall rampaging Werewolf," Stiles told them.

I smirked.

"It still not might be him," Liam told them. No one answered. "But, Hayden's at the school looking."

"I can keep checking the woods," Malia told them.

"My mom can check all the hospitals in the county," Scott told them.

I walked down the spiral case to see that they were all standing around the large table in front of the wall of windows, even Lydia. "We can find him."

They all looked at me.

Scott looked at me in relief.

I walked closer to stand next to Scott.

"What happens then?" Liam asked.

"We figure out a way to save him," Scott answered.

Liam nodded.

"Okay," Lydia told us. "Where else can we look?"

"Let's ask Cory," I told them, reaching behind me toward the wall of windows, grabbing what I knew would be the chameleon in disguise.
