So it turns out when Kj said he wanted to "be with Cami" he ment he wanted to have sex with her.
I know. Definitely a dick move on his part, but its not like we can shun him or cut him out if our lives. We work with him. And Cami understands that. Today he is keeping his distance though.
Cami, Lili, and I are going to an animal shelter to maybe help cheer Cami up.
After we got back from the beach and we were alone I told Lili it was okay to not be okay after something like this happens. Its okay to lean on someone every once in a while. So today is kind of about cheering Lili up too because I can't bear seeing her down.
So Cami, Lili, and I are on our way to the animal shelter. We were going to invite our best friend Casey who plays Kevin in Riverdale, but he was busy today.
I'm driving and Lili is sitting in the back with Cami. Lili has one of her headphones in, probably listening to Lana del Reys new album.
"You guys know that animals aren't aloud in my apartment building right?" Cami asks.
Lili laughs, "I'm glad I don't live in an apartment. I can have as many animals as I want."
"But you don't. None of your dogs live with you here in Vancouver." I say.
She sticks her tounge out at me comically, "Don't rub it in. I already miss my babies enough."
"I know. Sorry babe."
I catch her eye in the rearview mirror and we smile at eachother. I love sharing these little moments with her.
The swelling on her face is barely visible anymore and her nose isn't taped up anymore so she's recovering well. Her spirits her definitely raising back to her normal self too and I'm happy to see my Lili coming back.
Soon we reach the animal shelter and we all jump out of the jeep. When we walk in we are greeted by a lady.
"Hello and welcome! What animals are you looking for today?"
"Well we are just looking today, but I think we would like to see the puppies." I say and Cami and Lili nod in agreement.
The lady leads us to a section that has tons of the cutest puppies I have ever seen.
We probably end up awwwing at them for over an hour and Cami's spirits are lifting from seeing all these cuties. Then Lili sees one that she cannot look away from.
"You guys look at this adorable little Pug puppy! Isn't he so cute?"
Cami and I walk over to see what all of the fuss is about.
I look in the cage and lay my eyes on a very cute little pug.
"Awww he IS cute!" Cami says.
The lady suddenly shows up behind us. "Would you like to hold him?" she asks.
"Yes please." Lili smiles.
The lady unlocks the cage and takes the puppy out. She hands it to Lili and she just starts cuddling it and telling him how cute and adorable he is.
Cami and I pet it too.
"You should adopt him," I tell her because I can see she doesnt want to ever see it out if her sight again.
"Really? You really think I should get another dog?" Lili asks.
"Why not? I mean he is really something."
"Then you should adopt him."
"What? No you want him more."
"How about you guys adopt him together." Cami say. "That would be so cute. Like adopting a little Mcnugget."
Lili laughs, "That's actually not a bad idea." Lili hands the pug to me. "Our little mcnugget"
Suddenly I have an idea. It probably sounds totally ludicrous but I can't think of anything that would make me happier. And hopefully it would make her happy too. I want to move in with Lili.
"Cole? Are you in there?" Lili asks. She must have been talking to me. Cami knocks on my forehead.
The puppy starts licking my face and I can't help but laugh at thr little guy.
"Yah sorry. What?"
"Do you want to do this? Adopt this puppy together?"
"Acctually yes. More than anything."
Lili smiles at me and I know she will think moving in is a great idea too.
About an hour later we are back at Lili's house. We ended up buying a really soft bed, a stuffed little toy, some food, and a food and water dish for the puppy who we decided to call Doug. Because it rhymes with pug.
I'm not really sure why we bought the bed because even I know Lili will let him sleep in her bed.
"Hey guys, thank you so much for today. It really cheered me up, but I think I'm gonna head home." Cami says and gives Lili and I a hug.
"You sure Cami?" Lili asks, concern for her best friend in her eyes.
"Yes. I'm not gonna let him get me down. Don't worry I am totally over it." she smiles.
When she leaves I decide I should ask Lili about me moving in.
We are sitting on her couch playing with Doug.
"Hey Lili?"
She turns toward me and her warm shoulder leans on mine. "Yah babe?"
"I was wondering..."
"Is Cole Sprouse nervous? I never thought this day would come."
I let out a small laugh and look down. I am nervous. What if she doesn't want me to move in with her. That would really hurt, but I have to ask. Lili puts her finger under my chin so I have to look up at her.
She smiles. "I was just kidding. What's on your mind?"
"I was just wondering...if um you think its a good idea for me to...well since we adopted Doug together I was just-"
"Cole just spit it out."
"Do you want to move in together?" Suddenly its dead quite. Even Doug is quite. He fell asleep beside Lili.
Lili seems frozen and just looks at me. Damn. I knew I shouldn't have asked.
"Sorry Lili I-"
Suddenly tears come to her eyes and she's smiling and shaking her head yes.
I'm stunned. Is she saying yes?
"Are you saying-"
She starts shaking her head yes more frantically and leans in and hugs me.
"Yes. Yes. Yes. More than anything." she says over and over in my ear and my heart melts. She said yes. I smile into her shoulder and hug her tight.
