The Call

Today Lili and Cami are having a girls day so Kj and I decided we were going to hang out together too. We are pretty much just going to hang out at his house and watch movies and boring shit like that. The girls are going shopping and getting their hair done. They said they might go see a movie in theaters.

"See you guys later." Lili says to Kj and me. She kisses me on the cheek and whispers "love you" in my ear. Her cool breath cools my ear and sends chills down my spine. I never knew anyone could have that kind of affect on me.

"Oh God you two are not going to see eachother for maybe one day. Calm down."
Camilla says, in her sarcastic way.

"One day?! I'm not going to be able to handle this!" Lili yells out and we all start laughing.

"Alright you girls get outta here." Kj says, his accent heavy. He waves his arms at them comically and they walk off.

Kj and I head to his house in my badass jeep.
"We should watch movies that we're in and make fun of ourselves." Kj says, laughing.

"Alright. Sure." I say. "We should start by watching A Dogs Purpose. I haven't seen that."

"Alright, we'll make fun of me first."
When we arrive at his house we sprawl out on his couch and he gets on his Netflix and we start watching A Dogs Purpose.

"Look at your hair though." I laugh.

"Yah I was so emo." Kj says.

"Now your so ginger." I say.

By the time the movie is over our stomachs hurt from laughing so much. It was actually kind of a tear jerking movie.

"Next we're watching Big Daddy." Kj says.

About half way through the movie my phone starts ringing. Its Cami. Kj pauses the movie.

"Hey. Are you guys having a good time." I say, answering the phone.

"Cole! There were so many fans! I dont know what happened!" Cami screamed into the phone, hysterical.
My heart stops and all I can think is Lili. Is she alright?
What happened to her? Thats all I could think. Something really bad happened. I can just feel it and hear it in Cami's voice.
"Cami slow down. Is Lili ok?"

"Someone grabbed her and punched her in the face a ton of times. I tried to stop him, but he was too fast and before he ran he stole her purse. I'm sorry Cole. I tried to stop him." Cami said, crying.

"Where is Lili?"

"She's in the hospital."

"Okay we're on our way." I say and hang up.

I hadn't realized I was crying, but when I hung up I felt a hot tear roll down my cheek. It could have been so much worse. She could have been killed. But this was still really, really scary. I run my hands through my hair and try to gather my thoughts.
Don't freak out Cole. Dont freak out.

"Cole? What happened?" Kj asked, shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Lili was attacked by someone on the street when there was tons of fans around. She's in the hospital now," I say grabbing my keys.

We head out the door and start heading towards the hospital. I think I speed the whole way and run a few lights, but I dont care. I just want to get to her.

When we arrive Cami is outside the hospital, waiting for us. She was probably really shaken up about it. We all were.

We walk up to her and hug her. When we all pull away she leads us to Lili's room.

When I see her I freeze. She's laying in the hospital bed, her eyes swolen and dark. Her nose is taped and gauzed and her cheek is swolen. Her lip still has a little blood on it.
When she saw us she managed a weak smile.
"Hey guys."
I walk up to her and cup her face with my hands that are trembling, "Baby," I whisper and hug her tight.
"Im so sorry I wasn't there for you. If something worse had happened I don't know what I would have done." I whisper in her ear

Lili lets out a small little laugh and quietly says, "There's no way you could have been there. None of this is your fault. Im okay."

I look in her eyes and lean my forehead against hers, "And I am so greatful for that." we smile at eachother and I embrace her again, thanking God she's okay.

About 3 hours later Lili is released from the hospital and we all decide we are going to have a little sleepover at Lili's.
None of us say, but we all know its to make sure she's okay and nobody tries to hurt her again.

Kj drives the car and Cami sits in the passenger seat so Lili and I sit in the back together.

"I dont know why that guy did what he did to you, but if I ever see him I will kick his ass. And that's a promise." I say to Lili.
Lili laughs, "Thanks babe."

"You know, having a body guard wouldn't be a bad idea." I say to her, hoping she doesn't get offended by it.

I hear her take a sharp intake breath. "Cole this was one time. I was caught off guard, but I can take care of myself."

"I know you can, but you should still think about it."

"If you will stop talking about it, I will think about it."

"Deal." I say, putting my arm around her.

When everyone has gotten stuff that they need from their own houses, including me, we all meet back up at Lili's. We all brought sleeping bags to infasize the sleepover cliché.

Kj, Cami, and I all get comfy in our sleeping bags and Lili surprisingly joins in and gets her own sleeping bag out. We are all in her living room and watching a perfect sleepover movie. The Breakfast Club.
Right when I feel myself drifting off I hear Lili say, "Love yoy guys. Thanks for doing this."

We all say that we love her and drift off to sleep, happy that we're all together and Lili is okay.
