- Katie's point of view -
It was another day of school. Me, Michael, Oliver and the rest of our group were sitting at our usual spot, a bench on the outside of our high school. We always sit here whenever we can, which is one of the best advances when it comes to being the most popular people at school, that and the fact that no one would ever dare to take it from us. If they did, they would regret it immediately.Well, me and my friends pretty much ruled the school. We made up all the new trends, chose what was cool and not cool and whatever we said, everyone automatically followed. It sounds like it's taken straight out of a high school Hollywood movie, and I won't lie, it's very similar. There are different kinds of groups of students here, just like in those kind of movies. We have us, the popular ones, who has all the power and so easily can make every other student change their mind, then there are the quiet ones, the ones who are there but you don't really notice. Then the weird ones, people who you do notice, but choose to ignore because they're too strange and different, and of course the smart ones, the people with straight A's and an answer to every question a teacher ever asks. But I guess that's how every other school looks like as well. Nothing new or different here.
Even though we wanted everyone to be scared of us and used bullying as a weapon against those who didn't treat us the way we wanted them to, we were actually nice people. Many of us weren't bad at all. We were just insecure and desperate for people's approval and just chose the worst way of getting it. But, on the other hand, there were those of us that weren't insecure. These people thought they were better and therefore wanted to be treated better than everyone else. My boyfriend, Michael, is one of those people. He enjoys bringing people down and making them feel bad about themselves, because it makes him feel good about himself. Weird, right? It is indeed. But believe me, he is a good person. Otherwise I would obviously not be dating with him.
While sitting on the bench, chitchatting as usual, we saw a new guy walking towards us. I knew exactly that this guy would be our new target. He was very tall and quite skinny. A piece of his dark hair hung down his forehead and covered up a little bit of his big glasses. The strand of hair moved perfectly in sync with his steps, revealing his chocolate brown eyes from time to time. Just by looking at the way he walked I understood he was shy. He didn't meet any eyes, barely even looked up when he crossed the street. Neither did he try to say hi or introduce himself to someone. He held his books tightly to his chest as he came closer to us. Michael obviously tried to get his attention.
"Look at that nerd" he said, making our friends laugh. The new guy ignored him, which made Michael look confused. He was not used to being ignored, and especially not by someone he would consider a nerd. The new guy kept walking towards the entry, not even looking up from Michael's call. Michael glanced over to Oliver and they gave each other a look, making everyone else in our gang nod their head. Everyone knew what was coming. Michael and Oliver quickly stood up and walked after the nerdy guy with me and the rest of our friends walking closely behind them. When we found the guy inside of school, Michael quickly grabbed the collar of the guy's shirt and pressed him up against the wall. Oliver stood a little bit further away, making sure no one was here and could see what was happening.
"Don't you dare ignore me" Michael said threatening. "I'm not the kind of person to ignore!"
"Shit, someone's coming" Oliver said quietly, but still as loud as we all could heard it.
"If someone's asking, we weren't here, understood?" Michael said, still pressing the guy up against the wall. No answer was heard from the guy. "Understood?" Mihael said again as his grip tightened around the nerds collar. The nerd nodded and we all ran out of school."That was awesome Michael!" Patch, one of our gang members, said and made a high-five with Michael.
"Yeah, he surely won't ignore you anymore" I said as Michael leaned in to kiss the side of my head.
"Did you see his face? He was scared to death! It was fucking amazing" Patch excitedly continued as we walked further away from school.- Max's (the new guy) point of view -
"So Mr. Miller..." The principal, Mrs. Hawkins, said. "This is your schedule for this week, take care of it!" She said while handing over the piece of paper to me. I took a quick look at it and saw that my first lesson for the day was English. Mrs. Hawkins then walked me to the classroom and my first class started. The English teacher, Mr. Fields was strict but obviously wanted us to learn as much as possible. Luckily, we didn't get any homework, which seemed like a rare happening. All students of this class seemed like very nice people. Everyone had greeted me and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know me. There was especially one guy that I clicked with a little extra. His name was Brian. I got the seat next to him and we immediately hit it off. We figured out we had almost every class together, except math and history.
My next class was Math with Mrs. Wellbein. Me and Brian separated after he had showed me where my next classroom was. Sadly, that stupid guy I met this morning and his friends were in the same class as me. I tried my best to not make them notice me, but failed completely after banging my foot into the desk, catching the attention of the whole class. I looked back and saw the idiot and his friends staring at me.
"Look, isn't it that nerd again?" The idiot said, when the teacher left the classroom to go get some pencils. The guy and his friends all walked up to me and stood in a semicircle in front of my desk.
"Leave me alone" I said, without giving any of them a look.
"Didn't your mum teach you it's impolite to talk to people and not look at them?" He said and I slowly lifted my head up to look at all of them. I inspected all their faces. 3 girls and 4 boys. One of the girls had the idiots' arm around her waist. She was beautiful, maybe even more than that. She was breathtaking, words can't really describe her. She had eyes as blue as the ocean and blond hair as soft as velvet. She was so angelic, I had never seen anything like that before.
"Oh, look at your glasses, they are really dirty. I can wash them for you!" The guy said, making me come back to reality. He took off my glasses and before I could even react, he dropped them to the floor and stepped on them. I angrily walked out of the classroom full of laughing students. I went straight to my locker to put on my extra pair of glasses I always carried with me in my backpack, when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around, expecting the guy to stand there, but instead I saw the beautiful girl approaching me with an apologetic smile.
