Part Nine- Did I Mention?

All the students of Auradon Prep, especially the girls, erupted in cheers when Carlos an Jay set Ben up for the goal. The speaker announced the end of then tourney game and the winners, the Auradon Beasts. Ben stomped forwards, grabbed the microphone from a very shocked speaker and climbed a podium. The noises of the crowd immediately died down, listening intently on what the king­to­be was to say. Ben blinked, unsure of what to say, but raising the microphone to his lips.

"Give me an A!" Ben suddenly screamed and all the people in the field immediately shouted it. All of them but Alex, who looked confused, Mal, who was about to die in laughter and Evie, who was busy jumping up and down in happiness. The cheer squad, led by Audrey, was the most active in participation. Alex tilted her head to the side curiously.

"Give me an L!" Ben screamed and proceeded to go on. E. X. A. N. D. R. A.

"What does that spell?" Ben screamed and everyone turned to Alex.

"ALEXANDRA!" They screamed, Evie and Mal leaning closer to her and screaming in her ear. Audrey looked puzzled.

"I love you, Alex! Did I mention that?" Ben smiled dreamily and everybody screeched giddily. Alex's eyes widened. Oh my god. Audrey looked confused before running off the field. "Give me a beat!" Ben yelled, pointing over at the band.

"Uno, Dos, Tres, Quatro!" The band created a series of drum beats, soon accompanied by different instruments. Ben clutched the microphone and pointed at Alex.

"Did I mention that I'm in love with you? And did I mention there's nothing I can do?"

"Did I mention that I'm in love with you? And did I mention there is nothing I can do?" Alex's mouth dropped open as the people around her screamed happily.

"And did I happen to say I dream of you every day? Well let me shout it out loud, If that's okay." Ben hopped down from his podium, still smiling goofily at Alex's direction. The people in the crowds sung along, while Mal, Evie and Lonnie shouted the lyrics in front of Alex's ears.

"I meet this girl that rocked the world like I never been rocked, and not living in just for her and I won't ever stop!" Ben sang while dancing with Carlos.

"I never thought that it could happen to a guy like me, but not, look at what you've done. You got me down on my knees!" Ben kneeled and thumped on the ground before lying down and rolling over.

"Because my love for you is Ridiculous! I never knew that it could be like this!" Carlos and Jay helped Ben up before running to the back of the team.

"My love for you could be Ridiculous! My love is RIDICULOUS!"

"RIDICULOUS!" The crowd sang in Alex's direction while Alex crossed her arms looking at Ben with amusement.

"It's Ridiculous!"

"Just Ridiculous! And I would give my kingdom for just one kiss!The crowd screamed, some pointing over at Alex, some jumping. Ben grabbed the microphone stand and repeated the first part of his song.

"Did I mention that I'm in love with you? And did I mention there nothing I can do? And did I mention I dream of you everyday? Well let me me should it out loud if that's okay?" Alex swore the crowd got wilder as they sang the song, which for some reason Alex felt a bit more hopeful because of it. The tourney team all gathered with Ben and smiled at Alex.

"I gotta know, which way to go come on give me a sign. You got to show me that you're only ever gonnna be mind. Don't wanna spend another minute without you! Cause if you heart aint in it I don't know what I'll do!" Ben fell back, getting caught by the tourney team, which shot him forward. Alex's eyebrows raised in surprise as Mal gasped. Evie jumped as the crowd screamed.
