Part Thirteen- Be our guest

"Alex?" Came Ben's voice as she turned and smiled at him.

"Hey Ben what's up?"

"Do you think you could fill in for Aubrey in the chorus for Be Our Guest, she kind of up and quit today. So would you mind?" That was not a surprise to Alex that Aubrey would be Quit because of what went down with Ben, but to really ask her to fill in.

"Um sure, when is rehearsal?"

"Thank you, you are amazing. And it is at four this afternoon and since the performance is tomorrow I think I might need to help you after but it is till 7 today." Alex nodded as she smiled and kissed his cheek. This was important to him, just as it was important to her. Her mother was coming and she was invited to take Audrey's place in the performance, which was nice. She would get to spend some time with him during while they were preparing. It wasn't like she was going to get him to herself or anything but it was nice to just be there with him. Yeah Alex had finally lost it, she was smitten by the son of the beast and there was nothing she could do about it.

"Yo Lex what's up?" Mal asked as Alex smiled at her best friend.

"Um I have to rehearse today for the musical number tomorrow so I won't be back in the room till probably about 8 or 9." Mal looked surprised and asked what was going on.

"So what happened did he know your mom was coming or something?"

"Well he knew that already, but Audrey quiet and you know that we were all pretty good on the isle so lets just hope that keeps going while I am preforming with Ben and the rest of the school tomorrow." Nodding Mal smiled, she knew how her friend was, and what she wanted, no what she deserved. Alex was one of the only people in her life she would love to see fall in love, besides Evie, Jay, and Carlos that is.

~Outside of Class~

I was walking to AP lit when I saw Aubrey and Chad both of them giving me a look.

"So look who it is, little miss Flame." Said Chad who just made her roll her eyes, Alex had always handled name calling easily it was kind of her thing to handle. She was half good so on the Isle she was always called names like freak, half-breed and so on.

"Go away both of you, I am not in the mood right now." Alex said made her way past the pair.

"What's wrong VK feel like you aren't up to the challenge?"

"Listen, I am not just some VK, and neither are my friends. We are all special, and if you don't see what we can do to help them you don't see anything but yourselves." Alex said as she made her way to the classroom in which Ben, Mal, Evie, Elizabeth, and Chris were all waiting on her.

"Hey what happened?"

"Nothing Ben, don't worry about it. I just took care of a little problem is all." Alex said as she looked forward and Ben put his hand on hers. She knew Audrey was going to do something tomorrow, she wanted to ruin the lives of the VK's, all of them because they destroyed what she thought was a real relationship between she and Ben but in fact it was a passing fancy not true love.

~After School~

Alex, Ben, Chad, Doug, Chris, Elizabeth, all were in their places for the practice, Alex was in front replacing Audrey as Chad was at her point across from her. She had gotten a new pair of flats from Ben before practice so it would be easier to dance and preform in. She had thanked him and smiled he had gotten them in midnight blue, how fast she would have no idea. They were now an hour in and Ben told everyone to take a five minute break and get some water and he took some time to talk to Alex.
