"We need a tear of human sadness and a strand of Ben's hair." Evie read off the spell book as Mal frantically whisked the batter.

"Let's just chop some onions." Carlos smirked, picking up and onion and patting Dude's back. Carlos was not afraid of dogs anymore and is now fond of the school's pet, Dude. Well he might not the be school's pet but Carlos's new friend.

"I'll go and get Ben's hair." Alex rolled her eyes, standing up and walking out of the kitchen.

"Hey, have you seen Ben?" Alex asked Doug, whom she ran into in the hallways.

"Yeah," Doug pointed to the door leading to the gardens, which she then saw all the different colors of red, white, purple, even black roses. Which were Alex's favorite, always her favorite, but in the garden of the Beast family it was a surprise. It was beautiful, Alex looked at the flowers, wanting to just fall in love and stay there. She then began to use the phone that Fairy Godmother had given her, along with the computer. She began flashing pictures almost forgetting why she was there in the first place. That was when Doug tapped her on the shoulder regather her attention.

"I think they went down that way." Alex thanked Doug and briskly set off into the gardens. Upon entry, Alex was shocked to see the school's star couple argue silently but still she wish she knew a spell to hear it all. With a small growl, Audrey pulled on Ben's collar and kissed him roughly. Silently gagging, Alex tiptoed forward to the kissing couple... Well, only Audrey seemed to be doing the kissing. Ben looked a little dumbfounded, to say the least. Alex reached out and grabbed two strands of Ben's hair. The boy, feeling Alex's hand on his back, turned around and looked panicked when he saw Alex. Like he was not so happy she saw that, but that could be only her dreaming about how they had been.

"Alex!" Ben greeted, laughing nervously. He looked surprised as Alex looked at him, but how she was staring at the dark roses, which were his favorites as well.

"Hey! I just..." Alex trailed off looking for an explanation. Finding none, she looked up at Ben and waved. Audrey made Alex sick, and only because of how she was acting if she was a princess why act that way around a girl who you weren't scared of losing your boyfriend too.

"Well, bye! Just go on!" Alex turned to walk away when Ben called her. Alex turned around and shot the couple with a smile before walking out and leaving a smiling Ben and a fuming Audrey. Alex strolled back into the kitchen, throwing in the two strands of Ben's hair into the batter, getting the whisk from Mal and mixing the batter herself. Jay and Carlos said goodnight and retreated to their rooms.

"Oh, do you have tears? I can go out to get some." Alex volunteered, she was not prepared for what was going to happened when this spell went active. After all she didn't know if she was ready for all that was about to happen.

"No, No." Mal shook her head, grabbing a spoon and a cookie sheet.

"Lonnie came in a while ago and cried." Alex nodded and set the cookies on the sheet and into the oven.

"So, what happened when you looked for Ben?" Evie asked curiously.

"Well.. I may or may not have ran into Ben and Audrey kissing in the gardens." Alex laughed. Evie gasped at this information as Mal just laughed.

"Wow, that's sappy." Alex laughed harder the comment and Evie called her.

"Did he seem like a good kisser?"

"He wasn't even kissing back!" Alex laughed and the two girls followed suit. The timer dinged and Mal pulled a big round cookie from the oven.

"But the roses in the garden." She said pulling out her phone and showing them to Evie.

"Oh wow black roses?"

"Yeah I know right? I asked Doug and he said they were one of Ben's favorites is the only reason his dad and mom have them. You know they are just a deep rich shade of red right?" Alex said as Evie nodded, she was highly intelligent but she was hiding behind her want for a prince which by the way Charming was going to get a talking to if he hurt her friend. And that talking to was going to hurt.

"Say hello to our ticket to the front row." Mal smirked. Alex sat a few feet away from everybody, not minding her surroundings. Ben and Mal were conversing a few meters away, the girl using her manipulating skills on Ben. Ben ended up eating the love potion cookie. The original plan was for Ben to eat the cookie and for the spell to let him fall for one of the two girls, but the world had different plans with what was about to happen. When the potion was starting to take effect, Alex walked up forwards, which naturally caught the prince's attention. Then, Alex ran into the lockers. Ben immediately dropped the cookie and rushed to help Alex. Alex's eyes widened when Ben pulled her close and looked at her eyes when she stood up.

"Have you always had those little blue specks in your eyes?" Ben muttered lowly. Alex's panicked eyes looked over at Mal, who shrugged. Ben leaned closer and closer to Alex, who gently pushed him away with a nervous chuckle. She was oh god- she was in trouble.

"You have a big game, right?" Alex informed, raising an eyebrow.

"Tourney?"

"Oh, yeah." Ben frowned. came, his eyes brightened up and his lips stretched into a smile.

"Will you be there? Will you watch?"

"Of course!" Alex smiled.

"Great! I'll see you there, then. Wish me luck!" Ben chirped and happily sprinted away. Alex and her friends all fell in a horizontal line, facing the boy's retreating back.

"I have no idea what just happened." Mal answered Alex's silent question.

"I think a bit of diving intervention." Alex said as she looked at her friend, and she now wouldn't know if the magic was driving him or an underlying connection but for now she knew she had to go along with the plan.
