Alex sat in the dorm room, Evie weaving her hair into a braid. Mal was nowhere to be seen at the moment, but Alex knew where she was.

"Evie, I don't want to do this." Alex started. Evie paused, then turned her around.

"Neither do I," Evie whispers.

"But like we said before, this is our one chance to prove ourselves to our parents."

"Ben..." Alex trailed off.

"I know." Evie reassured and pulled her up gently.

"Look at you," Evie says, facing Alex to the mirror. Alex smiled at herself. The light blue floorlength dress matched the colors she normally wore. Her silver shoes and matching jewelry sparkled in the sunlight. She looked like a blue-haired Cinderella.

"You look beautiful." Mal said from the doorway. Alex turned, seeing Evie's purple masterpiece on Mal.

"So do you." Alex said.

"You ready?" Mal asked, halfheartedly.

"I never will be." Alex shook her head, she felt like today was the last day of her freedom if this went wrong. She loved Ben, and now she was going to lose him. With a sad smile, Evie handed Alex a box with an anti-love potion brownie. God she wish she didn't have to do this, lose someone she actually cared about, someone she loved. Alex's mother was also going to be joining today, and she was hoping that she was able to get her brother here through using the Underworld or Olympus.

"Good luck." Alex shakily grabbed it, scurrying off to the coronation carriage to meet Ben. Everybody was clapping their hands as the carriage rolled by. Alex and Ben were waving out of the carriage.

"Alex?" Ben said getting her attention.

"Yes?" She said turning to him as she looked at him and watched his hands move to a small object that she realized what it was, his signet ring.

"I want you to wear my ring." Ben says, pulling out a small golden ring and offering it to Alex.

"Ah, no." Alex stuttered, making Ben frowned.

"Maybe later. Gold doesn't suit me and it'll probably just fall off." Ben nodded and busied himself by waving at everybody, and Alex sat silently, biting her lip.

"Ben?" Alex said.

"Hm?" Ben asked, giving Alex with a curious look.

"Nervous?" Alex inquired.

"Of course." Ben chuckled, once again turning back to wave at his future subjects.

"Ben?" Alex tried again, she was so scared but she didn't want to lose the love she had gained by being with him. All the memories, even if it was love potion induced. But if she was lucky, it could be true love and if it is, maybe she could change.

"Yes, love?" Ben replied, not facing Alex this time.

"I made a little something." Alex said, lifting her hand to show him the box she was clutching.

"Oh?" Ben said in surprise.

"It's for later." Alex informed him as she looked at him.

"You know, some carbs to keep up your energy."

"Always thinking." Ben laughed, lifting the brownie out of the box.

"But I can't wait." Ben took a bite of the brownie, chewing a bit before swallowing. Alex looked at the boy, stuck in a silent scream. She was so screwed.
