Chapter 11

It's been three days since the baby was born. Three days since Renesme came into this world. Three days since the fight with the pack. Three days since Embry and I made up. And during those three days, Bella's been in transition. Carlisle told me I should go home, wait for Bella to control her thirst before I see her. I was glad to see Dad, glad to be home. Bu that didn't last long. Embry had bought a small house for us and the baby to stay in. It's absolutely perfect. It's down on the reservation, not far from Sam and Emily's place.

The pack was officially divided. Sam and Jake made their peace, but Jacob wasn't ready to be a beta again. He was born to be alpha, but felt it was wrong to take the title away from Sam, so he kept his pack. Leah and Seth stayed with him and Quil joined as well. Embry decided not to. Jacob is one of his best friends, but he liked having Sam as an alpha and didn't think it was right to make the switch.

When I was at the Cullen's, Carlisle would do ultra sounds to make sure my baby was safe. During one checkup, he was able to tell me the gender of my child. Embry was so excited when I told him. We decided to surprise our family and the pack with a gender-reveal today. Everyone is currently at Sam and Emily's. Emily insisted we have the little gathering at their place.

"So, are you excited?" I ask Embry, fixing a strand of his hair that's sticking up.

"Yeah, I can't wait to see their reactions." We walk outside, grabbing the two smoke bombs on our way. Everyone cheers when we walk outside, gathering together. "On three. One."

"Two." I smile.

"Three!"

It's short, I know. But I want to see what you guys think the baby's gender is. I know for gender reveals the parents don't typically know what the gender is, but I wanted Embry and Lucy to know and surprise everyone else. Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope you liked it.
